  • A judge in the Bahamas declared a mistrial in the John Travolta trial late Wednesday, citing juror misconduct. Two people were charged with conspiring to extort $25 million from the movie star after his son, Jett, died at the family's vacation home in January. The month-long trial was halted after a local politician announced that one of the defendants had been acquitted -- although the jury was still deliberating the verdict. "This was so weird," one of Travolta's lawyers told People. A retrial is expected.

  • Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to gun charges Thursday in New York City. The rapper, facing prison stemming from a handgun found on his tour bus, agreed to a plea deal; could serve up to a year in jail.
