- Born: A daughter, Lucia, to Mel Gibson, 53, and Oksana Grigorieva, 39, in L.A. on Friday, his rep confirmed to reporters Monday. It's his eighth child, but the first with his Russian musician girlfriend (who also has a son by former James Bond star Timothy Dalton). Gibson's wife of almost 30 years, Robyn Gibson, filed for divorce in April.
- Split: "American Idol" almost-winner Adam Lambert, 27, and longtime boyfriend Drake LaBry, People reports. The old "needs to focus on his career" story, apparently.
- Not dating, never were: Robert Pattinson, 23, and Kristen Stewart, 19, the swoony "Twilight" stars responsible for roughly 37 percent of the nation's showbiz-gossip GDP this fiscal year -- or so they insist to Vanity Fair in the December issue. Well, would they tell us if they were dating?
