Fox 5's Will Thomas is robbery victim
Doesn't matter how many years you've reported about crime -- no one's ever quite ready to be a victim of it. Fox 5 reporter and anchor Will Thomas was robbed at gunpoint as he got out of his car in Georgetown, near Wisconsin and N, on Wednesday night.
Thomas lost a wallet to the mugger -- no injuries, but "as you can imagine, I'm still a bit shaken up," he told us in a statement through a station rep. No arrests yet, he said, but "I'm very thankful to the police department for their diligence in this investigation."

That armed robbery happened just around the corner from Cafe' Milano, a noted celebrity favorite restaurant. Aren't there always police in the area? What is happening to this city?

Georgetown actually has a surprising number of armed robberies, compared to all other west-of-the-park neighborhoods.
I guess crooks are smarter than we give them credit for: they commute to where the easy money is.
