Surreal estate: Ted Kennedy's Kalorama home

Ted and Vicki Kennedy's D.C. digs are up for grabs. (Larry Morris/The Washington Post)

Seller: Vicki Kennedy
Price: $6 million+
Details: Ted Kennedy's widow has decided to sell their Kalorama home -- 8,900 square feet, seven bedrooms, seven baths, five fireplaces, lap pool and an exercise room with equipment selected by Arnold Schwarzenegger -- and buy a smaller place in Washington. No price set yet: The couple paid $2.8 million in 1998; it assessed for $5.1 million two years ago and will likely sell for more. And no gawkers: Viewing by special appointment only.

It's great to know there's someone like "proudgaycuban" who is totally without sin & is able to throw the first stone. No doubt the next 2 posters, who apparently have never broken one of the 10 Commandments, are disappointed not to be first. How about a little respect for someone who served his constituent for over 40 years? At least he had the wisdom to vote against the previous administration's war in Iraq & does not have the blood of 1000s on his hands like the majority in Congress who did. Presid

.
I took a walk-thru, by appointment, last week.
The garage is empty and spotless.
But they need to treat for termites before they show it again.
