- Among the White House's 25 new appointments to the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, announced Monday, some big showbiz names: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Edward Norton, Forest Whitaker, Alfre Woodard and Yo-Yo Ma. Also: Teresa Heinz Kerry, Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
- Dakota Fanning, 15, was crowned a homecoming princess at her North Hollywood high school last weekend, Us Weekly reports. Awww, maybe it is possible for a child star to have a normal adolescence. (Except for the part where paparazzi show up at your homecoming game.)
