- Krist Novoselic hanging for several hours at Madam's Organ Saturday night. The former Nirvana bassist (beard, 6-foot-7, hard to miss) sat by the third-floor fireplace, chatted with some marijuana-legalization activists, even took a turn behind the bar serving drinks. Was in town to chair board meetings of FairVote, which seeks to abolish the electoral college.
- Alain Ducasse enjoying the five-course tasting menu at his own Adour on Friday night -- what, they let him out of the kitchen? Ha ha. The celeb chef runs about 20 restaurants around the world these days; came to D.C. to check out Adour's new menu. Yellow fin tuna tartare, hanger steak, scallops, lobster pasta, etc.
- Tony Bennett dining at I Ricchi Saturday. Mushroom soup, spaghettini, Swiss chard.
