Read this: Kennedy Center Honors, latest Salahi and Secret Service news
Happy Monday, everyone. Catch up on anything and everything Kennedy Center Honors in today's Style section. Plus, video from the red carpet (above) and bios of this year's honorees.
As for the latest Salahi-pegged news:
From today's must-read A1 story by Spencer Hsu: "A summary of a secret 2003 report obtained by The Washington Post, along with descriptions of more recent incidents by federal homeland security officials, places Tareq and Michaele Salahi squarely in a rogues' gallery of autograph hounds, publicity seekers, unstable personalities and others identified by the Secret Service as defeating its checkpoints at least 91 times since 1980."
John Kelly fever-dreams that the Salahis joined him for breakfast. It makes about as much sense as anything on reality television, though.
And, if you missed it, Robin Givhan's essay on why the Salahis got away with it: They looked the part, and like it or not, "women who look like Michaele Salahi get more than their share of lucky breaks."
Of course, the Salahi story is ever-developing, and you should bookmark this blog to keep up.
