Reliable Source Person of the Year: Vote now!

Levi Johnston (AP Photo/Matt Sayles)

When our 2009 began, Levi Johnston was a soft-spoken Alaska babydaddy who hadn't yet posed nude, and Dionne Warwick was a beloved Grammy winner who hadn't yet bailed on a flop inaugural ball. But things change. Now they're both competing to be Reliable Source Person of the Year.

Bo Obama (Brendan Smialowski/Getty Images)

The title isn't necessarily an honor. We could go with an uncontroversial pick, like Bo Obama, but did the pup truly dominate the news? Heck, we saw more of Kal Penn, another contender, despite his hey-I'm-just-another-White-House-staffer guise. Or should it be Val Kilmer, who came around D.C. so much we thought he should run for Congress instead of New Mexico governor? (Thus far, he's doing neither.)

Denyce Graves (Devon Cass)

Or one of those ladies who finally put a ring on it -- Michelle Rhee, Chelsea Clinton, or Denyce Graves, who found her kidney-surgeon so nice she married him thrice?

Or Bald Miss Virginia? Alex Ovechkin? Meghan McCain? Celebrity Angel of Death Larry King? Tony Danza? Bring us your nominees. Results on Thursday, so vote early and often. (Comments, or reliablesource@washpost.com.)

Alex Ovechkin. He's had more (positive) impact on the DC sports scene than anyone else.

Tara Wheeler (bald former Miss VA.), for taking a symbolic action through personal sacrifice to draw attention to the plight of less-fortunate others.

Ovechkin is certainly a less controversial choice that Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid. I vote for Kathy Lanier because much of what she did this year made the news, and she is also hawt. 1st Runner Up would be Michelle Rhee.

Who else in Washington is doing exactly what he/she wants to do, is at the top of his/her game, is having (more than) fun doing it, and would draw an adoring crowd anywhere in town, not to mention NYC or Moscow? No brainer: Ovechkin.

I vote for Levi Johnston, because that dude created some mighty fine gossip. And it wasn't a one-time deal like Sanford - he kept it going all year long.

I love Ovie, but he's a better candidate for the Hart Trophy than RS Person of the Year until he starts dating someone famous and getting seen around town with her.

I'd nominate someone or vote if it were clear how to do this. Furthermore, "Send us your questions now" at your photo at the top of the online column leads to nowhere. Am I missing something, or does the Post need better computer techs? By the way, if I could, I would nominate the Salahis as RS people of the year.
