  • President Obama surprised his wife with a birthday party at Restaurant Nora on Saturday night. Michelle Obama turned 46 Sunday, and the party in the private room of the organic restaurant included her mother, Marian Robinson; Attorney General Eric Holder and his wife, Sharon Malone; White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, and the first lady's chief of staff, Susan Sher. The president (suit, no tie) ate lobster and saffron risotto, the first lady (black dress) a special lamb dish.
