White House 'third crasher' Carlos Allen: Is there a Salahi connection?

A screengrab from Carlos Allen's web site, showing Allen, center, with Michaele Salahi, right, and an unidentified woman at a party described as "Paul Gardner's Beyonce After Party Event." (hushgalleria.com)

**UPDATED 3:30 p.m.: Allen's lawyer denies a Salahi connection. See more below**

Does everything always have to come back to the Salahis?

The disclosure Monday of a third White House state dinner gate crasher -- an uninvited guest other than Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who got into the dinner in a completely different way than the Salahis -- exposed a completely new area of weakness in the perimeter around the president.

So different story, right?

But no, of course, it turns out that third crasher Carlos Allen, a D.C. party promoter, knows the Salahis - or at least, once mingled with Michaele at a party.

This image comes from a set of photos on Allen's "HushGalleria" web site, described as "Paul Gardner's Beyonce After Party Event." Paul Gardner, you may recall, was an attorney for the Salahis, though he got counsel of his own after the Salahis invoked his name in an explanation of how they got into a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation gala without a ticket. (Gardner is also friends with Michele S. Jones, the Pentagon official who exchanged slightly encouraging e-mails with the Salahis as they attempted to get on the list for the state dinner.)

A source who attended the party said it was held in June at the Madison Hotel. Michaele was part of a crowd that was attending a separate event - celebrating the release of a "Best of D.C." book - that was held in an adjoining space, though clearly the two scenes overlapped. No explanation thus far for the eyecatching translucent body suits worn by Michaele and the unidentified woman on Allen's left here. Rest assured that the other folks at the party were wearing standard cocktail garb, according to the photos.

More connection? Facebook photos show several of Allen's "Hush" associates mingling with the Salahis at their America's Polo Cup event on the Mall last fall - but not Allen himself. Allen has not returned calls for comment.

UPDATED: Allen's lawyer, A. Scott Bolden, said Allen met the Salahis for the first time the night of that party. He said they had no communication regarding the state dinner and that he did not see them there.

This looks like a snapshot from a Halloween "pimp and ho" theme party.

The unidentified woman is pretty hot, I like that hair thing she's got going on. Come to Mike8, sweetie, I'll sneak you in to all kinds of stuff...

Their dead broke. I hear she'll be ho'ing in the cumming weeks. It looks like she can play the skin flute quite well.

Both Allen and the Salahis have much more class than anybody they would meet in the White House.

I've always hated the term "networking". Now I know why.

Guilt by association does not hold up to journalistic scrutiny. I would say that the whole DC area party crowd probably sees each other from time to time at lots of events. But it is an interesting twist to the ticking clock of "15 minutes of fame."

If this happened during the Bush tenure I'd guarantee the bunch would either be IN JAIL WITHOUT BAIL OR ST. ELIZABETHS for a 30 day involuntary assessment.

Bet every dollar I have on it.

And from his facebook page, it is obvious that all three have ties to the Pentagon since he is pictured with Petraeus. When calling for resignations, why had Michele Jones, top aide to Gates, been left entirely off the hook. She was the one communicating with the Salahi's and the one notified immediately following the event that they had been successful in breaching security. She was the one with prior ties to their lawyer and she is the one with the questionable resume. Since the Pentogon has been leaking like a sieve, perhaps if WaPo hadn't benefitted from those leaks we would have answers to those questions. Calling for the resignation of the lady in charge of flower arrangements because of the systemic failures of the SS is inane. The State Department was in charge of the protocol involving the delegation. Are you also calling for Clinton's resignation?

Is it just me or does she look a little bit like a man?

Who the hell cares.

Really.

Enough distractions from the real issues.

No wonder subscription rates continue to fall.

Every photo of Princess Salahi details a defect in her neck. She can't hold her head up straight. Poor las.

If they conspired to illegally enter the White House, they ALL SHOULD BE JAILED. I'm going to stay on this rant until something is done. This is a disgrace. How many other crashers are out there?

Surely Bob Woodward is working on a piece about Partygate?

Who cares about the Salahis? Will WaPo stop putting the spotlight on this confidence couple?

DC is a small town. Here, it's more 3 degrees of separation, not 6. The fact that they were at the same party, or even photographed together really is not that big of a deal. The fact that the current administration allowed all three of them in, that is the big deal. But the Reliable Source ladies should know how small this town really is and how the same faces appear at all the big parties...

Yes, but who hasn't she been photographed with?

These people are disgusting. They are on a par with Dana Milbank.

If the Post could only investigate important stories like they are investigating this story we would have known about no WMD in Iraq, who outed a CIA agent, how a conservative plant was placed in the WH reporter pool, etc. Still I find the Jones/Allen/Gardner/Salahi connections interesting.

Does Michaele always have that same left side tilted pose? Might it just be a cardboard cutout that people are taking a picture of? That could explain why she seems to be everywhere. And, in reality, that's all she really is, a fascade, right?

Is it just me, or was this simply a penetration probe?

If so, it worked. If I was the SS, I'd be freaked.

It's clear who are the cut-outs and the useful fools, but who's the informed party working the party-circuit?

And to whom do they report? I doubt this is all about "embarass the Administration".

Think of it as a test run. If vapid airheads and Rave promoters can get into a State dinner, who else can get where else.

This is starting to turn into Alice following the White Rabbit through the Looking Glass into Wonderland.

Let us know, folks, if anyone sees a Cheshire Cat.

It certainly appears to be a test run. Perhaps the WaPo reporters can find out for whom....
