Kiefer Sutherland lost $869,000 in a cattle investment scam, reports AP. (Cue the bum steer jokes.) The "24" star invested the money with Michael Wayne Carr, a promoter who promised to buy cattle in Mexico and resell them in the United States for profit, according to California prosecutors. The sales never happened, prosecutors say; Carr faces 12 felony charges for taking investors' moola.
