Rep. Anh 'Joseph' Cao invited to President Obama's Super Bowl party

Rep. Anh "Joseph" Quang Cao (Charlie Varley for the Washington Post)

What's better than watching your team play in the Super Bowl? Rep. Joe Cao (R) of New Orleans was planning a trip to Florida when he got an even more exclusive opportunity: President Obama asked the first-termer to watch the game with him.

"We decided to pick the White House over Miami," the "die-hard" Saints fan told us. "Actually, my daughters [5 and 6 years old] are more excited because they want to see the president's daughters."

Last year, Obama invited about 75 guests over for a Super Bowl party: The game on the big screen, movies for the kids and snacks for everyone. But the bipartisan list might be cut by the snowstorm: Cao's family, for instance, is set to fly here Saturday. Either way, Cao predicts a win: Saints 38-24.
