Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) with a "how-bad-was-the-snowstorm" joke at the Washington Press Foundation congressional dinner Wednesday night (which honored our former colleague Dorothy Gilliam for lifetime achievement). Typical. Self-effacing conservative pokes fun at himself, while uptight liberal uses even light affairs to throw bombs at contemporaries.
