Surreal estate: Hank Paulson puts D.C. place on market, plans move to Illinois

Henry Paulson (Joshua Roberts/Bloomberg News)

Seller: Hank Paulson
Asking price: $4.6M
Details: The former Treasury secretary bought the three-bedroom villa near the Washington Cathedral for $4.3 million almost four years ago, just past the market's peak. But now, we're told, he and his wife, Wendy, are moving back to the Chicago area, where he grew up and spent much of his Goldman Sachs career. Three full bathrooms, two half-baths, huge windows, stone patio, fountain, trees everywhere. Once owned by another former Goldman CEO-turned-government worker: Jon Corzine.
