Parties you should have crashed: Fashion Delegate launch with cupcakes and a stripper pole

Portia Hood and Jennifer Fisher at the launch of Fashion Delgate blog Saturday, May 15. (Paul Morigi)
Event: Saturday's launch of Fashion Delegate blog.
Setting: The sprawling McLean back yard of Redskins running back Clinton Portis, who missed the party.
Fashionistas: Marketing exec Portia Hood and lobbyist Jennifer Fisher hosted 300 friends to kick off their style/political Web site (fashiondelegate.com). "We want to expose the world to fashion in D.C.," Fisher told us.
Attire: Summer chic -- bright colors, big necklaces and super-trendy platform heels, which teetered on uneven stone steps.
Amenities: Open bar, shrimp, wings and cupcakes.
Bonus: Martinis in Portis's tricked-out basement, which boasts flat-screen TVs, a full bar, wrap-around couches -- and a small raised stage with flashing stripper pole.

Clinton should be practicing on the pole. Maybe the Hangar Club will hire him when the Redskins get tired of his underperforming ways.
