  • How much is that doggie in the White House? Bo Obama was a gift valued at $1,600, according to President Obama's just-released financial disclosure forms for 2009. The late Ted Kennedy got the Portuguese water dog from a Texas breeder for the first family. (A gallery of First Pet Bo Obama photos.)

  • New Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb is in talks with the White House to get involved in Michelle Obama's Let's Move initiative to combat youth obesity, his business adviser tells Sports Business Journal.

  • Two dogs belonging to John Travolta were struck and killed by a vehicle last Thursday at the Bangor International Airport in Maine. The Bangor Daily News reported that the movie star's family had just landed en route to their nearby island home and the dogs were being walked.
