This just in: Sarah Palin gets a new neighbor; David Byrne sues Charlie Crist
- Author Joe McGinniss knows how to immerse himself in his research: He has rented the Wasilla, Alaska, house next to Sarah Palin, subject of his forthcoming book. This is according to Palin, who posted the news Tuesday on Facebook. She blasted his work as biased but mostly poured on the sweet sarcasm: "We're sure to have a doozey to look forward to ... Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole? ... Come borrow a cup of sugar if ever you need some sweetener." We couldn't reach McGinniss; his publishing house, Broadway Books, told AP he "will be highly respectful of his subject's privacy as he investigates her public activities."

- David Byrne sued Florida Gov. Charlie Crist on Monday for allegedly using his song "Road to Nowhere" in a campaign ad for his Senate race without permission, Reuters reports. It's the latest in a series of pop-pol disputes; Jackson Browne's suit against John McCain and the RNC for using "Running on Empty" was settled for an undisclosed amount.
