After Al and Tipper: Checking in on other V.I.P. marriages (Dennis Hopper, Gary Coleman, Speidi)

For all the fuss over Al and Tipper Gore, several other VIP unions have lately left you wondering, "So what's their status again?" An update:

(Reuters/Mario Anzuoni)

Dennis and Victoria Hopper: The actor filed for divorce from his estranged fifth wife in January, but he died Saturday of cancer before it went through. Their prenup was set to give her a big payout if they were still together at the end -- and in April, she got a court order to stay on his property pending the divorce. His family's lawyers and hers are girding for a fight.

Gary Coleman and Shannon Price: She was with the former child star when he fell at his Utah home last week and later died -- but lawyers later revealed they divorced two years ago. Hmm. The hospital said Coleman had signed papers granting her power to make medical decisions for him, including the choice to take him off life support.

(Charles Sykes/AP)

Spencer and Heidi Pratt: The veteran reality-TV villains have split, or something. At least she's moved out, she's telling the tabs. Oh, and she's got a new reality show in the works, so presumably they needed a plotline.

I am not sure why we should care about the Gore's marital status-BUT… the press makes sure the public is forced to know every detail on just about everyone; Informational- historical- presidential-
salacious- “titalaicous” ...... YOU name it
The fact that we should wonder why after "40years" of marriage the Gores have decided to end ... Weeelll lets think about this,
Politics Make Strange Bedfellows - politics is probably what brought them together and the awards have ended- the kids are gone and REAL Life has set in, some people cannot just do REAL Life, either that or someone got someone pregnant or someone has come out of the proverbial closet or someone is going to jail for something
