Hey, isn't that...?: Laurence Fishburne, Rahm Emanuel, Bill Gates
Laurence Fishburne (Linda Davidson/The Washington Post)
Hey, isn't that...?
Laurence Fishburne touring the Archives Friday afternoon. Long white African-style caftan. Turned out the actor was viewing some of late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall's papers -- he's currently starring in the one-man show "Thurgood" (which President Obama and the first lady attended at the Kennedy Center that same night). Unlike many Hollywood visitors, Fishburne has gotten off the VIP beaten track to enjoy city life (sculling on the Potomac, etc.) during his stay.
Rahm Emanuel catching the Patty Griffin show from the upstairs back bar of the 9:30 club Saturday evening.
Bill Gates attending an energy symposium at the Newseum on Thursday -- where, instead of partaking of the Wolfgang Puck-catered meal from The Source, the second-richest man in the world sent out for a McDonald's Quarter Pounder.
