What's next for Peter Orszag? A wedding, for starters

Sad day in Washington as we prepare to bid adieu to Peter Orszag, the unlikely sex god of the Obama administration. So what's next -- and why do we care so much?
The outgoing OMB director with the wacky haircut looked like another policy wonk until the divorced father of two was romantically linked with venture capitalist Claire Milonas and Bianna Golodryga, the ABC financial reporter he met at the 2009 White House Correspondents' Association dinner. In December, Golodryga announced their engagement on "Good Morning America" -- just a week before Milonas confirmed Orszag was the father of her baby daughter.
On a personal level, Orszag will probably spend more time in New York: Last month, Golodryga started a high-profile job as weekend anchor of "GMA," and their wedding is set for September in N.Y.C. He'll still commute to D.C., where he shares joint custody of his two children from a previous marriage.
Professionally, there are plenty of options. "The world is open to Peter," said Tony Fratto, the Bush administration spokesman on economic policy, now with public-affairs shop Hamilton Place Strategies. "He could obviously take some time and go the academic route or a think tank, but I don't think anyone would be surprised or have a problem with him going out and making some money. He's spent most of his life in the public sector."
Betting money says that after four intense years in government -- during the worst economic crisis in decades -- Orszag will land at a think tank for a few months before deciding on a private sector position, probably with a large bank or other financial institution.
In the meantime, there's a wedding and honeymoon to plan. The Wedding Channel reports the couple is registered at Bloomingdale's, for those of you who just got the save-the-date card.

What? No word about the love child? Orszag is such a role model just like his cohorts in the rest of this putrid administration.

Wasn't he also linked romantically to Harvard Professors Elena Kagan, Eizabeth Warren and Linda Bilmes?

I guess he's got a lotta alimony, palimony and child support to pay...
Will miss him, though. Especially his cowboy boots.
