Senator Scott Brown shies from posing for The Hill's "50 Most Beautiful"

What's the matter, Scott Brown? We sure didn't take you for the blushing type.

The junior senator from Massachusetts and (maybe you've heard?) Cosmopolitan's 1982 "Sexiest Man" centerfold has been named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People on Capitol Hill" in the Hill newspaper's annual survey, set for release Wednesday morning. But we're told that unlike most of the honorees, Brown declined to give an interview or pose for a picture.

Ben Dunham. Not too bad, either. (Benjamin J. Myers)

His press office did not return our calls to explain his bout of shyness. The senator mostly laughed off the Cosmo spread when it resurfaced during his campaign last year -- he said that he paid his way through law school by modeling -- but maybe a guy gets tired of being objectified after a while. Nothing to be ashamed of, though; he's in good company. Five other lawmakers made the list: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.), Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), Rep. Duncan D. Hunter (R-Calif.) and Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.). (Hunter also declined to pose for the Hill.)

Most of the list is made up of staffers, though, and the Hill does a great service by finally showcasing the alpha-male aide of the year: Ben Dunham, 31, best known as the staffer who (briefly) won the heart of "Mad Men" star January Jones. They met during her enviro-lobbying visit last fall and dated for about four months. He's discreet about his brush with celebrity. "I got a lot of weird e-mails," he told the Hill, "and the whole experience convinced me that I never want to be famous."

January Jones: too stupid for Ashton Kutcher.

And yet DC's most handsome Capitol aide dated her for four months.

Also, maybe Scott Brown doesn't like posing in his clothes....

Finally, no Aaron Schrock???? Dupont Circle will be aghast.

Scott Brown sold his soul to Satan. But, Why is Obama Destroying America. If you truly want to know what is going on; Then you will have to accept these things as the TRUTH. Once you understand the following things; All things will be understood. So I tell you Obama is the Anti-Christ, Satan on Earth, Lawless One, or what ever else you want to call this Demonic Figure. His words describe him, He is a False Hope, If you listen to him you will love him. He carries a Bow without an Arrow. He will conquer all through his speech, his false hoods will capture all who sit and listen to him.
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Oh boy. Typical WaPo smear job on a Republican. What's new? It's just the usual stuff from the LibDumbs since they can't defend their positions.

Wow - good to know that Obama = Anti-Christ. I'm sure that Jesus wouldn't have wanted everyone to have health care. Plus, Jesus was always so sympathetic to rich people....he's probably sitting up in heaven right now completely p.o.ed about financial reform.

what an awful list. where's dana perino? Hell, id give even nancy pelosi a ranking. i mean if you're going to include interns and low level staff, i'm sure you can find hotter 24 year olds than what they did. Besides number 1, she definitely deserved to be there.

Please find a competent mental health professional as quickly as you can. You need someone to assist you in a journey to return to reality. That's unless your post is a satirical joke. Let's hope it's the latter.

Good for him. Mr. Brown seems to have some sense of dignity and a belief that serving as a Senator is a public service and not simply an opporunity for shallow self promotion.

Now if only our President had the same sense of propriety. Be sure to watch for him on The View this week co starring Whoopie Goldberg.

re: "I got a lot of weird e-mails," he told the Hill, "and the whole experience convinced me that I never want to be famous."

So of course the natural follow-up to that is to pose in People magazine and give interviews to the media.

Oops, Capitol Hill magazine. Still, same concept.

"Brown declined to give an interview or pose for a picture."

That's the paradox of this list. I know some absolutely beautiful people, and all of them would have declined to have been part of this. That is one of the things that makes them beautiful.

Reflect on that, and grow up, golden ones.

Duncan Hunter also refused to pose for The Hill, unfortunately the picture used by the Reliable Source is his father, who is retired from Congress.

Maybe he should do the cover for RINO magazine ? Him along with Dodd and his buddy Barny Frank right on the front cover.Any excitement and hope he created by his election has been spent with one vote, but it was a duesy.Better warm the truck up Scottie.
