This just in...: Glenn Beck going blind, Ice-T arrested in New York

- Glenn Beck says he might be going blind. The Fox News host told an audience in Salt Lake City Saturday that he's been having trouble focusing his eyes, and a doctor said he has macular dystrophy. Prognosis unclear.
- Ice-T was arrested in N.Y.C. Tuesday for driving on a suspended license. Police told the Associated Press that they stopped him for not wearing a seat belt; he was ticketed and released. The rapper-actor (an NYPD detective on "Law & Order: SVU") reacted, calling out the officer by name and badge number on Twitter as a "punk [expletive] rookie cop."

Surprised that he said 'everything happens for a reason' and that he will deal with it...he certainly does not apply that mantra to our presidency. I work in ophthalmology...he did not mention seeking other opinions, or perhaps he did and the diagnosis was not so grim, which gave him reason to smirky smile in the 'announcement'. The tears meant nothing because he "cries" all the time. Surprised that he did not report what kind of retinal dystrophy he has...there are many treatable forms. Once again, reporting the 'news' without all the details. Though I wish him the best, I am leary about the severity of the condition and what he didn't say was glaring. Also glaring, he did not advise his audience to see their eye doctor. I SEE red flags.
