  • Michelle Obama lunching at Ris on Tuesday with BET president Debra Lee. Since it was the Foggy Bottom restaurant's first anniversary, they got a piece of chocolate cake from chef-owner Ris Lacoste.

  • Alex Ovechkin rapping along Tuesday night to the DMX hit "Party Up" ("y'all gonna make me lose my mind, up in here" -- except of course in an adorable Russian accent) at One Lounge; the Dupont Circle club was also celebrating its one-year anniversary that day.

  • Elena Kagan leading a standing ovation at the opening of "Candide" at Harman Hall Wednesday night.
