Love, etc.: William Kennedy Smith engaged

By The Reliable Source

Engaged: William Kennedy Smith and Anne Henry, who are planning an April wedding, we've learned. Smith, 50, is the son of Jean Kennedy Smith (the last surviving of JFK, RFK and Ted's siblings), a Georgetown-trained doctor specializing in prosthetics and amputee care. At the center of a headline-grabbing 1991 rape case, Smith was acquitted in that matter. He's spent much of his career in Chicago (where five years ago, he was hit with harassment claims from two employees at a philanthropic foundation he started; one dismissed and one settled) but appears to have recently moved his medical-technology firm to D.C. Henry, who has worked as an arts fundraiser, was the attractive early-30s brunette on his arm at the Kennedy Center Honors this month. Smith did not return calls.

Update 12/20: Crain's ChicagoBusiness follows our story and notes that Anne Henry worked as communications director for Smith's firm in the early 2000.
