In other news: Jimmy Buffett hospitalized after mid-concert tumble

Jimmy Buffett plummeted from a Sydney concert stage Thursday, to the horror of watching fans, reports the Daily Telegraph of Australia. The 64-year-old suffered head injuries and appeared to be knocked unconscious. His reps posted a note on his Web site saying he'll be released from the hospital Friday, which may mean Saturday Aussie time.

How can something like this happen? No official explanation yet from Buffett's camp, but ask former D.C. radio star Don Geronimo, who fell head-first off a Sacramento stage last fall. It's easier than you think.

And you want video of Buffett's fall? Of course you do, you ghoul. Click on...

We surely hope that Jimmy will be fine that they will keep in the hospital for as long as needed and that he will listen to the doctors and stay there as long as needed. Possible or might we say, likely concussion is nothing to take lightly. We wish him well in his recovery and our prayers and hearts are with him. We know that echoes the heart of all his fans, all the Parrotheads! The very best--Jimmy!

Perhaps it's time to take the sunglasses off when you're indoors, Jimmy. It would be nice to still be singing about cheeseburgers, margaritas and beaches with you 25 years from now.
