Love, etc.: Jesse James and Kat Von D are engaged; D.C. United coach welcome baby boy

Born: A son, Oscar Benjamin Olsen, to Ben Olsen and his wife, Megan, on Tuesday. The D.C. United coach and the schoolteacher also have a 2-year-old daughter, Ruby. Oscar's birth was well-timed -- three days before the start of training camp, reports our colleague Steven Goff.
Engaged: Jesse James, who closed the loop on his year of infamy by proposing to tattoo artist Kat Von D, reports People. His divorce from Sandra Bullock, after infidelity admissions, became final in June.
