In keeping with the WaPo’s editorial standard of being last to report anything unfavorable to the Obama Administration, this happened at the Alfalfa Dinner on 29 January and most reliable news sources reported it the following day. Why is the Post just now getting around to mentioning it?
Understand the White House had a fun Super Bowl party this Sunday and among the guests was celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. They mingled with a typical assortment of Cabinet members (Eric Holder, Ron Kirk, Janet Napolitano, Ray LaHood) and lawmakers and even heard Valerie Jarrett was kind enough to invite Army Vice Chief of Staff GEN Peter Chiarelli to attend in formal uniform -- provided he served the drinks.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that a Senior White House official couldn’t pick out the senior military officer in a line up of hotel doormen? With the departure of National Security Advisor General James Jones several months ago, NO ONE in the West Wing has ever donned a uniform in defense of this nation which makes Obama's truly a "Vet-less Administration."
