Fred Grandy did not leave because ratings, which were fine. Where do you get your information?
He was forced to leave because of CAIR, which objected to his repeated criticism of terrorism.

Wait wait wait...an expensive blowhard that got crap raitings (14th place in DC drive time?) resigned instead of doing a show people wanted to listen to...where's the news here?
I betcha dollars to donuts this guy would have a job still if he'd been entertaining. I mean it's not like CAIR likes Limbaugh, but he's still on. And have you heard Chris Plante's show? He goes after radical islamatists, AND is fun to listen to.

You are lying, Bitter Bill. CAIR had nothing to do with it. You only wish that you could pin it on CAIR. I, for one, am glad that right-wing drivel is gone. Fred and his shrew are both embarassments as Americans. We don't need their bigotry.

How do Grandy supporters not realize they're getting played? Instead of being honest about why he left (frustration over low ratings, capitulating to his wife), Grandy pulls out the ol' muslim boogie man, knowing he can work them into a frenzy. Do they really think muslim clerics are taking over the same radio stations that play Rush for three hours a day?

Grandy was canned because of his truth to power segments on islam.
No, the moslems will not take on Limbaugh - not yet.
They will however feel very bold in taking down Grandy and Graham.
As long as there is cowardice in American media - islam will triumph.
WMAL just painted themselves into a cowards corner they may never get out of.

Fred resigned when WMAL would no longer air "Mrs. Fred." Not sure if CAIR is actually responsible; however, they did play a part in the departure of other on-air personnel.
