Quoted: David Brooks on Newt Gingrich

By The Reliable Source

Brooks, Gingrich (William B. Plowman/NBC)

"I wouldn't let that guy run a 7-Eleven, let alone a country."

-- David Brooks on Newt Gingrich's 2012 presidential prospects in a new Time Q&A. "No management skills," he sniffed. Oh, snap. Can we get a Twitter feud going between these guys? The NYT conservative columnist similarly dismisses Haley Barbour for looking too much "like the kind of guy Michael Moore would cast" as a Southern governor.
