Conspiracy most foul!

Blogger Derek Johnson tips me off to an amusing pair of news briefs. Brief number one, April 9:

The daughter of Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown has been named a special contributor to "The Early Show" ... Brown, who preformed on the broadcast earlier this year, and just wrapped up her senior season on the Boston College basketball team, will report pieces occasionally for the CBS News morning show.

Brief number two, April 12:

EXCLUSIVE: "Face the Nation" has a Scott Brown exclusive next Sunday

That would be "Face the Nation," also on CBS. It's quite the family betrayal of FOX, whose "American Idol" turned Ayla Brown into a minor celebrity, and whose News channel might have been expected to get the first Scott Brown sit-down since his self-imposed three-month hiatus from high-profile national media and events outside of Massachusetts. (There were a few exceptions, like his short introduction of Mitt Romney at CPAC.)
