Ky. Senate campaign: Fox News challenges Grayson on TV appearances

Mediaite catches Neil Cavuto of Fox News responding to the really surprisingly petulant quote that Kentucky U.S. Senate candidate Trey Grayson gave to my colleague Perry Bacon. Here was Grayson:

"I’ve been on Fox News once, on a live feed on one of the shows, and I was told I was to expect a certain line of questioning, and I was given a different line of questioning. ... [Rand Paul]’s on all of the time. His dad had these phenomenal contacts, so … he’s on Fox News every couple of weeks with softballs."

And here's Cavuto.

"Sorry, but that just ain't so. Each time and every time we have invited Rand Paul, we have invited Trey Grayson. Each time, every time. I demand it. At least three times on this show this year. It's our policy. We call everybody. And that includes today. Not to mention the open invitation we have to Mr. Grayson to appear tonight on FBN, or any time with us, on Fox Business or Fox News. So we're calling him. He's avoiding us. The invitation is still open. Our phone lines are still open. And I want you to understand we always call everybody and take on all comers."

Really, Grayson has made so many unforced errors that I don't know how much blame you can lay at the feet of establishment Republicans if he loses.
