Michele Bachmann, optimist?
Since one of the games of the day seems to be needling Republicans over their pithy reactions to pretty good economic news, it's worth pointing out the reaction of Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).
I'm pleased to see 290,000 jobs added in the month of April, but at the same time, the unemployment rate rose to 9.9 percent with those out of work for 27 weeks or longer accounting for a record 46 percent of the unemployed. The question remains: are the jobs we creating long term and sustainable?
Contrast that with, say, the reaction of Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio.)
