Virgil Goode joins the Constitution Party

The former Virginia congressman -- who was elected as a Democrat, an independent and a Republican -- is joining the Constitution Party.

There's no sign yet of him joining the race against Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.), who beat him in 2008, but I know that tea party activists have been looking for a vehicle to win the seat without backing the GOP's preferred candidate, Del. Robert Hurt. His decision to join as only a "supporting member" leaves him some room to decide.
