Washington's It Guy: John Podesta
You know Obamania has reached a new level when even John Podesta is a rock star.
Some of the best reporters in the business lined up for more than an hour on 6th Street NW this afternoon for a chance to hear Podesta, the Obama transition chief, give an operational update. When the transition team announced the press briefing last night, it promptly received 207 RSVPs -- far more than the 84 chairs that could fit into the conference room in the government offices serving as transition headquarters.
Secret Service agents and transition officials served as bouncers, consulting their lists as reporters begged their way in: "I RSVP'd! Last night!" About 100 people back in the line was no less a personality than Karen Tumulty, a veteran political writer for Time magazine. Inside, the lucky holders of White House "hard passes" -- the first to be admitted -- threw jackets over chairs to save seats for their colleagues outside. Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker had to sit on a step in the back of the room. CNN's Ed Henry was buried in the fifth row. The event was delayed 20 minutes until all the Podesta groupies could get through security. The Washington Post alone sent six reporters.
Until last week, the concept of somebody waiting in line to see Podesta would have provoked a chuckle to those who know the founder of the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. Though a wry and clever conversationalist, his act until now would not have been mistaken for a rock star.
But here the former Clinton White House chief was yesterday, in gray flannel suit, his white dress shirt unbuttoned to reveal the white undershirt beneath. The questions were shouted from every corner of the packed room. And, for nearly three quarters of an hour, Podesta regaled his adoring fans with endless variations of his theme song: "We're taking a look at a variety of options, and when we have something to say about it we'll let you know."

I must have missed something in the "transition" move, I thought BO-BO was bringing "change we can believe in" to DC. Is Podesta the agent of that change? And all those white guys standing behind Obama, not one person of "color", at his first Press Conference looked VERY familiar. Although dumping on a former First Lady was certainly a "change".
Well, I guess I will just have to suck it up and listen to this self-involved, robot machine politic person for a couple of years, or more. I am in process of contacting my local Acorn agent so I can register myself at least 50 times for the next election.
My bet is that he:
Says it will take a while to get out Iraq
Says Guantamo is a sticky legal situation
Says the economy is more complex, quick moves will fix it
etc, etc, etc.

The more I watch and listen, the more I am dismayed at the obvious. I don't know how I missed it! I fought against the election of Barack Hussein Obama for reasons of pure political ideology. He was too liberal, I thought, he is too inexperienced and he is too socialistic, maybe even Marxist. The big civilian police force he wants to organize, the redistribution of wealth, the erosion of the first amendment and the second amendment, and if he can't prove his nationality, the 20th amendment. I even blogged about how he was at least nominally involved in the coordinated collapse of our economy and that it is not likely that he will fulfill the oath he will take on Jan 20 to protect and defend the Constitution, a document he has high contempt for. In all of this, I missed the fact that he is African American and that is why is was elected. I had no Idea.

Why don't you ask the former REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR of Arizona, Fife Symingon (a close friend of John McCain by the way), ask Symington why he gave an interview to CNN last November where he stated,

Those were the Governor's EXACT words. Why did the highest ranking person in Arizona claim on national news that an alien spacecraft flew over Phoenix?

Symington ridiculed the Phoenix Lights sightings back in '97. It wasn't until '07 that he claimed he was a witness. Odd that you fail to mention the fact that Syminton resigned from office after being conviced of bank fraud. It was his pal, Bill Clinton, the guy he once rescued from drowning, who pardoned him of any crimes.
Had McCain won and named Symington as a chief to his transition team you can bet that the media would be all over it, not too terribly concerned about Palin's shoes.
Podesta makes for an interesting adventure into multi-level hypocrisy. The media mostly ridicules all UFO sightings, Area 51 & Roswell stories and makes fun of anyone who gets involved. And the far-left loves to make fun of all things paranormal, from religion to ghosts & UFOs.
So how is it that Palin's shoes are still of such great interest to the media and those on the left, but Podesta gets a pass in an area that few escape ridicule? How & why is that? Why the relative silence? Any particular reason they wouldn't want the average citizen knowing about the obsession?
Who cares if Symington is republican or a friend of McCain? What's that got to do with it? He's still a nutcase! Do you believe that two nutcases make for one superior intellect, or that one cancels the other out?

I was looking at Podesta's photo today and marvelled at how much it looks like Valerie Jarrett's. BUT, I already noticed that Rahm Emanuel has sort of the same look as Valeries. Then I realized that all three of people look exactly alike!

I am a pilot of a UFO, which has visited earth. John and I have spoken on several occassions. John might have been a Rock Star, as we make him one when we beamed him to a Rock near The Sun. However, he turn out not to be a Star, as he is more of an assterrhoid. We also beamed Albert Gore up to another planet but we found him sooooooo boring that it will be a cold day in.... well you know what I mean, before we waste our time with him again. Got to go, as our leader has changed her mission. Rather than saving your planet she now wants to save the auto worker unions, under the guise of saving the big three!
