Lady Gaga's latest video -- it's no Alejandro
This is definitely her worst video so far. The choreography is lacking, and I didn't really get the tune. I'm not going to be sitting on the subway humming, "Try calling after 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning! I'll be on the phone, too."
I think Alejandro did a better job of raising the same issues, and there wasn't the two minute lag as you waited to be transferred to Chuck Schumer's office. That was definitely the dramatic low point of an otherwise uneventful video. Has Gaga reached the point where she just assumes that she can put so little effort into a video and still drive the discussion?
Maybe so. After all, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) already responded to her tweet on this very issue. As one YouTube commenter already noted, senators may soon be thinking of another Gaga video -- Telephone. "Stop calling! Stop calling! I don't want to talk anymore! Not with my head and my heart on the Senate floor." Or something.
