A location for Kate's bachelorette party?

By Autumn Brewington

The Daily Mail's Katie Nicholl reports that a new London bar may be the site of the bachelorette bash for royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton. According to Nicholl, Kate's "hen night," as such parties are known in Britain, is "set" to be held at 86, a bar/restaurant that opened in November on Fulham Road in Chelsea.

Nicholl writes that Kate celebrated her 29th birthday there last week and cites an unnamed "pal" as saying, "She loves it because the staff are discreet and she knows the owner."

Curious, we checked out the Web site for 86, a converted Georgian townhouse with dining and drinks on multiple floors. Eighty-six offers a room for private parties -- but what really piqued our interest was this line: "Respected British chef Mark Broadbent (formerly executive chef of Bluebird) will create a variety of Modern European menus for the various dining areas."

The key word in that sentence, to our eye at least, is Bluebird. Kate co-organized a photography exhibition at The Shop at Bluebird in late 2007 and has been spotted at the Chelsea restaurant. Coincidence?

We're not certain this will be the location of Kate's bachelorette party, but we're intrigued -- and we'll post more as details surface.
