I've seen a few reports on "Crown Jewels Condoms of Distinction." The purple three-pack boxes show Prince William and Kate Middleton smiling at each other, and the company promises a souvenir pastel portrait of what the couple "might look like on their special day" in each box. "Lie back and think of England," the Web site encourages. "Like a Royal Wedding, intercourse with a loved one is an unforgettable occasion."
What I haven't seen reported amid all the innuendoes is this important line in the fine print of the news release about the condoms: "Crown Jewels Condoms of Distinction are a novelty product and may not be suitable as a contraceptive or barrier against sexually transmitted diseases."
So, not exactly "royal protection," as the Sun headline dubbed it.
