Lobbyist's Condo Community Feels McCain's Pain
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) hasn't been battling the press alone this week. The lobbyist reported to have had a cozy relationship with the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Vicki Iseman, had hordes of cameras outside both her office and townhouse Thursday.
The condo community in Alexandria, Va., where she lives felt the brunt of it all.
The condo association's assistant community manager sent an email to residents Thursday telling them the obvious, without outright saying it:
"As you may be aware, there has been a newsworthy event that has caused an influx of press to gather within Cameron Station over the last 24 hours," wrote Leah Pommrehn. "We regret that this may cause an inconvenience to you; however, the Association has taken the appropriate steps in an effort to minimize the impact to you."
Pommrehn didn't come close to specifying what those "appropriate steps" were. But they couldn't have been too drastic, we didn't get any reports of missing cameramen.
Iseman, 40, who is a partner at the lobbying firm Alcalde & Fay, bought her four-bedroom townhouse in June of 2005 for $790,000, according to property records.
