Obama Camp Again Assails Clinton on Bosnia Trip

If Sinbad the comedian won't continue joking about his 1996 trip to Bosnia with Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Barack Obama campaign will.

Even though Sinbad has ended his tit-for-tat with Sen. Clinton (D-N.Y.) over their differing accounts of their joint trip to Bosnia in 1996, the Obama campaign isn't letting it go. Today, the Obama campaign sent an e-mail to reporters with the subject "Must See Video - Senator Clinton's trip to the Bosnia."

The e-mail provided a link to YouTube video of a March 25, 1996 CBS News report on Clinton's trip. The video shows then first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton and daughter Chelsea, who was a teenager at the time, touring a frontline U.S. forces outpost in Bosnia and chatting with the troops. The report included no references to gunfire.

In its email, the Obama campaign wrote, "If you watch this footage from a CBS report at the time, you'll notice that her description is very different from what actually happened."

And the Obama campaign reminded reporters how Clinton last week defended herself against -- of all people -- Sinbad, who has become the media's new favorite foreign policy expert after the Sleuth's original interview with him in which he said he doesn't recall dodging bullets or anything else so harrowing during the trip. (The only thing he worried about, he said, was wondering "Do we eat here or at the next place.")

Clinton insisted, "I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

The Obama campaign also points out that Clinton received "four Pinocchios" from the Post's "Factchecker" blog, which said, "Clinton's tale of landing at Tuzla airport 'under sniper fire' and then running for cover is simply not credible. Photographs and video of the arrival ceremony, combined with contemporaneous news reports, tell a very different story."

Earlier today, Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson reportedly said "it is possible" that Sen. Clinton "misspoke" when she described landing under sniper fire in Bosnia.

As they sought to qualify the New York senator's statements, the Clinton campaign also fired back today at Obama by belittling his foreign policy experience.

Campaign spokesman Jay Carson told the Sleuth: "Senator Clinton was landing in a war zone and instead of questioning Sen. Clinton's work during her time in the White House, the Obama campaign should explain their candidate's record given that he says his best foreign policy experience is the fact that he lived in Indonesia as a child."

In the next few days, reporters should question Ms. Clinton directly on this matter. This is an important misrepresentation relevant to her leadership qualities.

Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire. Do your job MSM, question her on this. This is a major lie and a part of her so called "experience" notion. What it is, is complete BS.

I am very concerned in not only the lie she told about her trip to Bosnia, but also her refusal to release her tax records, other papers from her time at the White House, etc.

In the 90's it wasn't Peace and Prosperity - it was humiliation for the whole country with our nightly news full of Clinton scandals: Whitewater, Rose Law Firm, impeachment of the president, etc.

Obama will win the Democratic nomination. He will win the presidency too.

We should judge a person by their deeds and actions and not their words.
The fact that Obama choose Mr. Wright as his spiritual teacher for 20 years and included Mr. Wright in his election staff speaks well for Mr. Obama's thinking and actions. Words are easy to manipulate and it is UNLIKELY that Obama's recent speech was written by Mr. Obama anyway. Mr. Obama has a powerful and power hungry staff that will do or say anything to get him elected to power. And for those who haven't done their homework regarding the cruelty of Mr. Obama's wife to the poor and working class, I suggest you do.

But clearly this man Mr. Obama is not to be trusted with the future of our great country. And regardless that he is 'fashionably black' and that many of you have some desire to prove to yourself or to others that you are not prejudice and that you like 'black people' with an attitude of 'See, I like black people, I'm voting for a black person,' such an attitude of voting for a person because of their race is the definition of prejudice.

If Mr. Obama had a lighter skin tone, there is no way he would be tolerated in as much he is aligned with a violent religious group, and never says anything substantial. And not only that, consider today's announcement that the chief of the firm involved in the State Department's passport breach is Obama adviser. And that Obama has been caught lying about Rezko, regarding the amount of money Rezko gave him, and that Obama still hasn't come clean about his Rezko land deal.
Just look at the kind of people Mr. Obama associates with. If Obama were to become president, what would stop Mr. Obama from appointing Mr. Wright to his cabinet? And to be sure, if anyone complained about Mr. Wright's appointment, no doubt they would be called racist, as this card is played daily by Mr. Obama and his clever unscrupulous staff.

Mr. Obama is partly running on 'a premise of guilt' that if you don't vote for him, it is because you don't like his race. This premise is manipulative premise and certain to have disastrous consequences for America and the world, for we should have as our country's leader someone with wisdom and knowledge regardless of race, not someone hungry for power for the sake of power.

Out of all the 300 million people in America, is this really who you want for president?

We love you madam Clinton, you are a wonderful SENATOR, STAY THAT WAY AND CONTINUE TO NAME PUBLIC BUILDINGS AFTER OUR SAINTS.
YOU DO A TERRIFIC JOB AT THAT!

I live in Indiana and will happily vote for Barack Obama.

We've been through the Clinton's in the White House before. It was awful - one scandal after the next. Every week a supeaona - and of course they were so busy with that - Al Queda had the time for 9/11. No more Clintons in the white house.

Here's a correction for that last paragraph:

Campaign spokesman Jay Carson told the Sleuth: "There are lots of other distractions out there to focus on right now. Please don't look into this. We're trying to change the narrative before our campaign gets sunk by a minor lie that we inexplicably refuse to simply write off as a faulty recollection. Once again, please look the other way. How about these shiny keys? Sure are interesting, aren't they?"

OK, she really embellished this one, but at least she did go to a war zone, even if it was a secure base. She traveled to over 70 other countries as well. Beats this:

I guess I'm wondering why she would deliberately lie about something like this which can be easily checked? Plus who would really care about some dramatic story like this anyway? It seems dumb and she is not dumb. I am wondering if it was a different international trip that she confused with this one. Even if so, she should know by now that she has to be really accurate about what she says because Obama's campaign is rabidly looking for anything to detract from Rev Wright. Thank god Hillary didn't attack him on that and just let the video speak for itself. At least she's looking like the one on higher ground in terms of negative campaigning.

Americans are so naive that they can be taken for a spin. If not they would have seen through Clinton.. She is just a hoax.

Every old man can claim more experienced as a child. So why not invite some grey haired old fox to head some of the worlds biggest financial corporations? Experience is no substitute for ability. You might have climbed Mt Everest when you were 25, that does not mean you can do it today. That is just an old woman chewing the cud.

This is the best chance we have to elect some one of the league of Abraham Lincoln or Kennedy and that too at the most trying times.. I strongly deplore clinton and her tactics of exagerating her achievements and to make others look small

You do not recount such a life threatining adventure. together with your daughter
(AND "FORGET" IT DID NEVER HAPPEN), you do not joke that the President sent you plus daughter to a place toO dangerous for
himself, especially when he really already visited it, BY ANY OTHER REASON AS TO INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD THE VOTERS WITH SUCH INVENTED HAPPENING.

The same, YOU DO NOT STATE "I WAS ALWAYS AGAINST NAFTA."FORGETTING" that you assisted to SEVERAL MEETINGS PROMOTING IT, where the assistants state that you never hinted any opposition,

Such and many other, is simply a proof that all the HILLARY's experience, which has no confirmation except her misfired Heath Care action, is simply ANOTHER INVENTION, based on nothing more as being a First Lady

BUT EVEN MORE GRAVE IS HER CHUTZPAH TO BASE HER CAMPAIGN ON SUCH PSEUDO EXPERIENCE, STATE THAT SHE HAS PAST THE PROOF FOR COMMANDER IN CHIEF AND ACCUSING OBAMA HE HAS NONE OF THESE !!

IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY UNAWARE OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HER IF SHE GETS NOMINATED AFTER HER DESTRUCTIVE CAMPAIGN, CONFRONTED WITH SOMEBODY WITH REAL EXPERIENCE AS JOHN McCAIN ??

By the way: a few days more of such campaign and also OBAMA WILL BE DAMAGED BY HILLARY WITHOUR REPAIR (if it is not already too late!)

Freshbakes: "not remembered"???!!! when someone doesn't remember something, it's generally a blank- to give a vivid, dramatic and emotional story about what happened simply can't be dismissed as "not remembering." And, when this vivid (can I call it unforgetable?) story is put forward as evidence of sufficient foreign policy experience to be president, this can only be called a deliberate attempt to mislead the American people. Come on, in the real world, people who try get fired- wasn't there a history professor who lost a tenured position over fabricating a vietnam war experience that he told in the classroom? If academics need to be held t high standards of truthfulness, certainly politicians need to be as well- especially given how political lying has gotten us into a long and costly war that has already cost 4000 American lives (and who knows how many innocent Iraqi lives - that number never gets reported, as if it doesn't matter).

The real crime here is that this is not being widely reported- or if it is, it is being downplayed. If we elect another liar to the white house, that shows that this country has really given up on democracy- democracy requires transparent governance and integrity in our leaders. It's not here, folks.

Now Hillary's camp finally admits that Hillary misspoke about the Bosnia trip. If I land at an airport under sniper fire and had to run ducking my head I will certainly remember very well the incident and not forget when and where it happened. Hillary's spokeman tells that Hillary described in her book "Living History" that there were sniper fire that day.

The whole thing is all made up. Somebody else wrote the book "Living History" for her. She hardly even ead what is written in that book. Her speech writers after reading some lines from that book (which is already a bunch of lies) enbelished it even more and made her regurgitate it.

There are enough suckers in this country, who will buy the Brooklyn bridge from Hillary. Her life is and surrounded by full of lies and deciets. She cannot by any means tell what is real and what is fantasy. Her campaign from day one has been trying very hard to package the lies and with an army of aging governors and retired generals as surrogates tried to sell those lies to the American people.

There has to be an investigation of her $5 million loan to the campaign fund. The Clinton's can not be trusted.

She, who may be lacking some morals, will do anything in desperate measures to fulfill the empty gap she has been longing for 60 years: to be the first female president.
It's her personal agenda, you see. We, Americans, are not in her horizon.

Mary Ann, let me put some truth to your question and to some of your respondents.

I personally served in Bosnia Herzegovina as a Military Intelligent Agent who was responsible for the safety and intelligence of her trip to Tuzla Airbase along with my team members. I was apart of the IFOR military force who was in Bosnia during the initial landing of our forces at the Airport and remained there all year long.

So here is the facts, my team was monitoring all of the airspace and ground activity and there was no sniper fire during, before or after her visit to Tuzla Airbase. If so, her plane would not have been permitted to land.

She came to our base and meets with officials, then took a Helicopter ride to another base to meet soldiers not located at Tuzla Airbase. She then returned to Tuzla where I had the honor to personally meet with Hillary and Chelsea and introduce her to my team, before they left to head back to other parts of Europe.

My team was responsible to monitor the security of all governmental officials and their guest during their visit within the Tuzla region. During the year my team and I briefed the President of the United States, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Secretary of Commerce during the year of 1996 (and supported all efforts related to the loss of our Secretary of Commerce and his plane crash).

The truth, Senator Clinton and her daughter flew into the region and meet with Senior Members of the Military, military soldiers and the Bosnian Government. As I stated before, there was no sniper fire during her visit.

Oh yeah Hillary also found time to play the gender card, race card and sympathy/ victim card. Gee, I wonder why politicians get such a bad reputation.

When Ronald Reagan used to remember things that hadn't happened, they usually turned out to be things he had done (or at least seen) in a movie. In the video clip, LaClinton goes on and on in great detail about events that NEVER TOOK PLACE. von Munchausen had nothing on her--unless she REALLY BELIEVES they took place, then DELUSION must be the answer. (Should LaClinton rally and win the nomination, I shudder to think of how frequently the Republicans will run that video.)

She repeated her remarks, even when challenged by the media. In defending her tale, she arranged for third-party validation from Togo West, the Clinton Administration Secretary of the Army, and Lissa Muscatine, a Clinton speechwriter. Only after video emerged disproving her assertions and threatening a political firestorm did she start trying to pass her false claim off as simply "misspeaking." Caught in a huge baldface lie. Another example of how low the Obama's camp has sunk or the media. Yes, it is indeed an unfortunate 'mispoke' but the amount of coverage this mistake is more than the cover you give on Wright's scandal!

Obama is using everything and doing everything, to avoid answering these real questions about his relationship with Wright:

1. why do you stay for 20 years?
2. why do you still appoint Wright your adviser even though you remove him from the big event of announcing your candidacy?
3. why do you still let your children go to the church to hear Wright's anti-white and anti-american preaching?
4. why do you not wear an American flag pin any more more?
5. why do you pick a new pastor who also believes in Wright teaching?
6. why do you do throw your grandma under the bus with a 'typical white person'
7. why do you incite the Blacks and throw them under the bus by making it sound like all Blacks believe in Wright teaching?

Until he gives adequate answers about these questions then he remains unelectable.

There is a disturbing pattern here. Whether it's Mrs Clinton's version of events in Bosnia or her exaggerated role in the Ireland peace process or her proven inaccuracies surrounding NAFTA or her disputed role helping to pass S-CHIP.

Issue after issue, Mrs Clinton has difficulty with the truth, and this speaks directly to her character. It also brings to mind Mrs Clinton's various explanations for arguing for and voting for the Iraq war. I just can't trust her.

Not that every past President has been great at telling the truth but I'm sure Hillary will substantially lower that bar.

I cant help being amused by Obama's campaign tactics since HRC's big wins..... Do you really want to go after HRC's foreign policy experience? This simply raises questions about his foreign policy experience: what foreign policy experience? How many countries have you visited? What international negotiations have you been a part of? How many international "speeches" did you deliver at summits, conferences and human rights events? Hence, the tactic of spinning her role as being "insignificant" has a rather bold counter effect: it brings to light the deep foreign policy experience gap that exists between these two candidates........

The Clintons!

Bill Clinton for years has been my best living president. One who understands the difficulties of humanity. I loved that and I loved him too.

In the wake of 08 Democratic primary though, the clintons have presented themselves as the owners of the Democratic Party, and have giving the impression that they are so smart and everyone else is so foolish.

The Claims about N. Ireland was untrue, the claim on Bosnia has turned out a lie.

Recently in North Carolina Clinton said Obama is unpatriotic, and the Clinton camp is currenly desperately using the media to deny his statement and deviate attention from it.

In Newhamshire, Clinton labelled Obama's "run for president" "the biggest fairy tale" then, used the media for several week to change the meaning. The media bought it that he meant the "Iraq war" not Obama's run for president.

In South Carolina Bill Clinton said "Jesse Jackson won South Caronlina" Implication! No big deal! Jesse Jackson did not win the nomination after that flash in the pan anyway.

If this is what the clintons are, I cannot change their politics, but I remain disappointed with them. Then, Carville with "gutter politics?"

Everyone is not as foolish as the Clintons believe and the media must stop believing "The Clinyond" too.

Some say that I, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, should have spent Easter weekend in Chappaqua, writing my withdrawal speech and preparing for my return to the Senate. They ask why I stay in the '08 race when Obama has an insurmountable lead in states, delegates, and popular vote. My strategy is for victory in the 2012 presidential election. I will continue to pursue several lines of attack on Obama including denouncing his experience, blaming him for the fiascos in Michigan & Florida, and even praising our Republican rival Senator John McCain as more patriotic and experienced than Obama. My goal is to do extensive damage to Obama to ensure that he looses the general election in '08 and pave the way for my eventual election in 2012! It's a HILLARIOUS strategy, but I will be president by any means necessary.

I Misspoke

It was a treacherous night landing. Ice had formed on both of our wings, and as I looked out the port window, I could see it cracking, flying off into the night sky with each near barrel roll of our C-50, highlighted by the flares shooting past on either side of the cabin, turning them into falling prisms of wildly careening light.

As the cabin lurched back and forth and the sounds of rocket fire percussed the urgent, faltering rhythm of our right engine, I unfastened my seat belt, and, finding my center of gravity, rose from my seat, moving past aides frozen still in their seats, arms locked like girders against their arm rests in terror, and walked up the center aisle to the pilot's cabin.

"How long to Kosovo"? I shouted over the screaming whine of the altimeter's alarm, marking our steep descent. The pilot turned, looked at me in shocked recognition--"How...how did you make it up here? No one has ever walked up here in these conditions before! How..."

"Never mind that!" I barked, with what I hoped was not too much stern forcefulness, with sufficient steel and empathy combined into a firm imperturbability. "Check the master FMC! Is it working or has it failed?"

The pilot, paused, as if in amazement at my readiness , and then himself awakening to crisis, looked to the Control Display Unit . "It's down! It's down!" he shouted. A bead of sweat began to form on his brow.

I knew what I had to do. "Get out of there!" I commanded, and pulled him from the seat, where he crumbled to a fetal position on the floor behind me. Stepping over him, I took the chair behind the console.

"Check the Central Maintenance Computers and activate the NAV RAD for alternate radio tuning capability!" I shouted to the co-pilot. He, too, had broken down in tears, his head buried in his hands. I looked to his ID on the console. Another newbie.

Well, this was another one where I would have to go it alone.

Quickly, I tore the scarf from my neck and fashioned it into a crude lasso that could be used for EFIS/EICIS control. Catching the lever with my right hand, I activated the cabin loudspeaker with my left. I knew that they had likely been gulled by the earlier soft patter of the pilot. "Brace yourself! Get ready! These aren't just words!" Then I pulled the lever back hard, sending us rocketing towards the runway.

"You'll never make it!" I knew that voice, and turned. Richardson! How did he trundle up to the cabin? "Out of here, Judas! And take that quivering beard with you!"

I could feel bolts straining against Pennsylvania steel as I pushed the '50 down, down, down to the ground below us. Suddenly, an explosion punctuated the sky--Hand held rocket fire at 3' o'clock!

I quickly performed the evasive maneuvers that I had learned for so long, and so well. My face became angry, then sad, then gentle, then intensely serious, then was finally rocked by a powerful squealing, an unnatural burst of laughter. That did it! The rocket exploded harmlessly behind us.

Now. Now it was time to take the stick and bring this shaking, careening flight, parts straining against themselves until nearly ready to burst, down to the ground. I put my arms to the twin arms of the FO-AP, set the APC, and with all of the strength remaining in me, began to push the levers down. Straining, I pushed harder. And harder. I could see the runway rising before us in the glare shield. I would have to find the remaining strength to bring it down.

Finally, as if a burst of superhuman might had been somehow delegated to me, I pushed the levers into locked position. I could hear Penn in the cabin shouting "We're landing...We're going down!" as I felt the rough shock of the landing gear snapping into place.

Sparks flew as we hit the runway, bullets ricocheting off of the cabin, one wheel touching pavement. I looked straight through the windshield--the militia, arms at the ready stood at the runway's end. The last obstacle.

I turned the craft hard, sending it hurtling sideways across the pavement. It swept the militia away in a single screaming motion that combined with the screaming that arose from the cabin, as we continued to hurtle towards the small, makeshift terminal, where the dignitaries, negotiators, and heads of state awaited for my arrival.

I did not close my eyes. I did not let go of the wheel. I watched--as we ground to a halt just before the doors of the terminal.

I looked fore, at the dignitaries protecting themselves from the sniper fire that raged around them. I looked aft, at the passengers, shaken but safe.

We had arrived. All was good.

Just a moment...

Due to the discovery of a video of the above described occasion, I would like to make few small corrections. The flight was in fact actually a regularly scheduled Continental Airlines flight that was actually flown by the pilot and co-pilot--although the pilot did have a cold, and during the flight, I did at several times give serious attention to our flight conditions (notes indicate that I found it "a bit bumpy") I would also note that the dinner, Salmon with Creamed Potatoes, was undercooked, and was served with a Riesling that was unusually dry. It is also true that we were met not by a militia but by a girl's youth soccer team. However, it was necessary for me to dodge a soccer ball as team members demonstrated their often aggressive skills. No other shots were fired.

In short: I misspoke."

This whole flap Obama is creating is an OBVIOUS desperate attempt by the Obama camp to take attention away from the fact Obama's spiritual adviser and mentor of 20 years is a racist who hates America, just like Obama's wife Michelle. At least Obama has one friend who has loved America, America has been very good to Obama's Syrian friend Tony Rezko. If Hillary had really been "under sniper fire" in Bosnia during her 1996 trip, most Americans that were old enough to read and understand the news would have remembered such an incident. The fact that not one person to my knowledge has said, "oh yes, I remember that" clearly proves that her statement is nothing more than a lie.

I am not necessarily speaking of Senator Clinton or Michelle Obama; but speaking to the broader scope of trivializing the position 'First Lady'. Accepting the role requires a person to be capable as acting as an agent, representing an entity, a nation, a people. The candidate must be versed, educated, politically minded, have the ability to give speeches, embrace causes and discuss issues. Internationally, the role is even greater, representing the people, the nation...under intense scrutiny. To trivialize this role sends a horrible message to our children, daughters, sisters, wives. And if an equivalent job was available in the marketplace, you can be sure the requirements would be steep as the responsibilities are enormous.

That Senator Clinton was told on the plane there were snipers outside, and that frightening knowledge may have profoundly concerned her, with her daughter present. The human memory files things away and I imagine THIS this recollection was one of urgent potential danger. I don't blame her a bit.

My point - She should not have to be defending her previous experience. The position of 'First Lady' by definition requires vast skills. When we elect a president, we scrutinize the spouses, for the very fact that they will be required to act as ambassadors around the world.

MYTH: Barack Obama is running a positive campaign that will unite Americans.
FACT: Barack Obama and his advisers have conducted a divisive "full assault" on Hillary's character.
While talking a lot about the politics of hope, change and unity, Sen. Obama and his campaign have been conducting a relentless and singularly personal assault on Hillary's character. They have blanketed big states with false negative mailers and radio ads and have described Hillary and her campaign as "disingenuous," "divisive," "untruthful," "dishonest," "polarizing," "calculating," "saying whatever it takes to win," "attempting to deceive the American people," "one of the most secretive in America," "deliberately misleading," "literally willing to do anything to win," and "playing politics with war."
This "full assault" on Hillary's integrity and character has reached a new peak since Hillary's victories on March 4th. One of Sen. Obama's top surrogates equated President Clinton with Joe McCarthy; another called Hillary a "monster;" and his campaign manager held an angry conference call claiming that Hillary is "deeply flawed" and has "character issues." That's neither unifying nor hopeful. If Sen. Obama really is the prohibitive favorite some say he is, these negative attacks make absolutely no sense. Why would a frontrunner seek to attack and divide? If Sen. Obama can't unify Democrats in a primary, how can he unify Americans in a general election?

CNN-Passport exec is Obama adviser, CEO of the company whose employees accused of improperly looking at the passport files of presidential candidates is consultant on foreign policy to the Barack Obama campaign

Obama Flip-Flops
1. Special interests In January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton and John Edwards as "special interest" money. Obama changed his tune as he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and says he is "thrilled" by their support
2. Public financing Obama replied "yes" in September 2007 when asked if he would agree to public financing of the presidential election if his GOP opponent did the same. Obama has now attached several conditions to such an agreement, including regulating spending by outside groups. His spokesman says the candidate never committed himself on the matter.
3. The Cuba embargo In January 2004, Obama said it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba" because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it is "an important inducement for change."
4. Illegal immigration In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a Jan. 31, 2008, televised debate, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation."
5. Decriminalization of marijuana While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the Oct. 30, 2007, presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana.

If Bill Clinton did send Hillary to play an important role in the Bosnia situation, then he screwed up. With her resume at that time, she was qualified to be an ambassador to a stable friendly country without too much going on, sure. Nice, smart, sociable person, liberated, educated lady, able to get along and do good work. But you would send serious professionals to troubleshoot a situation like Bosnia. Not your wife.

I believe that is what Bill Clinton did, which is why the Balkans thing worked out rather well, considering. Could have been much worse.

I mean, why take the risk? You ask your wife to handle that and it goes haywire, you are so hosed. Worse, far worse than the health care thing. Bill's top people would have told him that, and he and she would have both heard and understood. I just don't think they did that. Why she wants to say it now -- well, who knows. But it's crap.

The Associated Press reporter Ron Fournier wrote a story called "Helicopter-Hopping First Lady Says 'Thanks' to Bosnia Troops". I read the article and it DOES chronicle the dangers of that enviroment and it was significant that Hillary Rodhan Clinton was the first First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt that had made such a trip to honor troops. The article also notes a few stops OUTSIDE the military post where she was not accompanied by USO entertainers. There is no video footage of that. She may have exaggerated a bit but the area was considered hostile and she WAS protected by sharp-shooters at various points.

Obama better be careful that this does not back fire. They do have a debate coming up. The media here has once again has ginger flexed to pounce on Hillary. If one looks closely at this AP account it is a PR dream for her.

none of the candiadtes are directly responsible for the words of their supporters or campaign staff. Even though they may or may not agree with what is said, there is room to give the benefit of the doubt. however, when a pattern is obvious, that room is squeezed tighter and tighter. that being said, we must seriously consider the words that come directly from these candidates mouths.

Hillary Clinton is too shy to tell how she
managed to bring the sniper down!Had she not landed in Bosnia the Serbs would have overrun the country. Its because of her act
that today Bosnia exists as free nation.Let
us not forget how she inspired Montenegrons
to breakaway from Serbia successfully. Her diplomacy and strategy outwit Kissinger.Let
Obama also know that Kosovars worship her as their savior.

The EC votes are who elects the Prez. The research I've been doing since about June of last year has Hillary winning 309. These have not changed. The idea that Obama can win in 2008 defies all logic. Throughout this period of time, many claims have been made by supporters of different candidates as to the Electability of their favorite. The FACTS, according to every Internal of the polls I have seen is that Hillary will win and Obama would not. The remaining 10 states and territories are about 7 to 3 in favor of Hillary. Given the votes in Fla. and Mi., with those still pending, gives the lead to Hillary in the popular vote.

Based on the facts we know now Hillary should just Pack it in for the sake of All Intelegent Womenn in America.

She has finally brought the Final Curtain down on herself. I have written quite often that Hillary wanted to Bring the Roof down on Democrats, thank God, the previous Kitchen sink trusted at American Democrats, supporters of Obama had changed it course in the Air to hit Hillary herself.

Fellow Democrats and Independent and Converted Republican, now A Bogus Lier shall not be truisted from 'Day one' to be your Chief of Staff and evidently she lacks proper Pictorial memories and Retentivity.

This is even more ridiculous as her claim that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary (she wasn't), and it reveals her anabashed compulsion to paint herself in a positive light no matter what. I suppose being married to a charming, if pathological "truth-bender" has something to do with her tainted charater, but ol' "Hills" should remember one key difference: Hubby prez Bill mostly gets away with it because he is warm and charismatic. She, on the other hand, has about as much charm and warmth as a pit viper. For someone so smart, she is making some incredibly stupid mistakes lately.

I started out with great admiration, respect and trust for Senator Clinton. I was thrilled to hear that she was running for president.

I would have glady cast my vote for her with pride.

I looked at her vote for the war as an honest mistake...."we were all tricked into believing the reasons for this military campaign", I said.

I was even sad for the Clinton's while they were at the center of controversy during Bill's presidency. "Leave Bill Alone", I said....I Love Bill...still do.

Now, my heart is broken.

The more of them I see the more disapointed I am. Their increasingly negative campaign tactics against a fellow American and Democrat has in my sincere opinon been pretty low.

Every day, I find more reasons to be ashamed of my favorite candidate.

Every self revealed exposure of questionable character traits in her make my heart heavy.

"How can I support her now"?...I ask myself. Can I, a man that works hard to walk above the influence of scornfulness turn a blind eye for loyalty's sake?

Could I look at myself in the mirror and honelstly say that I believe that I have made the best choice for America? I could not if I cast my vote for Hillary.

My first loyalty is to my country.

From the beginning, I have had my quetions about Senator Obama and contrary to how I now see the Clintons, the more I see of him, the more my heart and mind embrace him and his remarkable ability to gather support from the most progressive minds of every walk of American society. I have been reluctant but overwhelmingly compelled to support this movement in the best direction for America.

There's an old saying that if you tell one lie, you have to tell seven more to cover it up. But then, presumably, as we have seen in the Bush Administration, each of the seven cover-up lies must be covered up with seven more. Looks to me as if Hillary Clinton IS sufficiently experienced in "misspeaking" to qualify for just the kind of president we've grown accustomed to. Hail to the Deceivers.

The fact that no one person to my knowledge has said, "oh yes, I remember that" clearly proves that her statement is nothing more than a lie."

Scott, I have always thought that Hillary has a credibility issue, moreso, she has no ideas. She started off with "inevitable." It didn't work, she borrowed CHANGE from Obama, then she borrowed HOPE from Obama, then, she borrowed the FUTURE from Obama.

Mispoke?!

ROTFLMAO

What's not funny is one of her top advisors calling a good man, and a top Democrat in this country a "Judas".

The Clinton campaign will say and do anything to win, including risk destroying the Democratic party along the way. Republicans are rejoicing over this. Democrats are in shock, and very nervous over what the future might hold for their party.

On the improbable chance that Clinton is the nominee, I will view this as a Republican versus Republican election, and as someone who has never voted for a Republican for President, act accordingly.

I will not reward Democrats acting like Republicans towards other Democrats -- never!

And, should the Democrats lose elections in the Fall, ones they should have won, I hope the Clintons are in effect banned from the Democratic Party, permanently.

It's always interesting to see what politicians choose to lie about. For Hillary, she has to be seen as some kind of war hero in Bosnia, presumably as part of her ongoing quest to be more macho than the men around her (see also, the war vote). For Obama, we see how he handled the Wright video -- he reframed its sulphurous language so we could understand how hate speech evolves and why it's so pernicious in a democracy. And he refused to lie about how much he loved Wright the man, if not always the sermons. It would have been so easy to lie there... I really wonder why he didn't. What does that tell us about him? I won't rush to the usual bromides about what a paragon he is... Maybe someone with common sense SHOULD have lied. Will he be handling crises in this fiercely independent way in the future? Will it serve our interests as a country?

If Hillary can't remember what really happened at the tarmac on her trip to Bosnia, what else of the 35 years of her experience does she not remember. So far nobody has been able to put together a profile of Mrs.Clinton for the past 35 years. Yes sen clinton was in Bosnia and 70 other countrys for diplomatic reasons for the USA as the Presidents wife, no less.
Obamas yrs in the Moslim side of a Cath school in Indonesia would never be considered close to that important-that is experience but at that age what was being ingrained in his little mind.
There is no comparision to the experience Sen Clinton has had in her life and the experience BObama has had.
The incidents that have come up in BObamas life so far give more people real reasons for not voting for him. Resko isnt going away it just will explode later as well as once we see his tax records. Theres lots of info about OBama that hasn't come out yet- when it will it will give people another reason to distance themselves from him.
LATELY WE HAVE HEARD THAT MANY REPUBLICANS CROSSED LINES TO VOTE FOR ONE OF THE DEM CANDIDATES. IT MAY HAVE BEEN CLINTON IN OHIO BUT IF THE RED STATES (TYPICALLY REP) WERE CHECKED AS WELL PLUS TX I THINK YOU WOULD FIND THAT THE REP CROSSED LINES TO PUSH OBAMA'S DELEGATES IN THOSE STATES. THIS WAS PART OF HIS STATEGY TO GET VOTES-HE USED RUSH LIMBAUGHS WORDS TO BOOST HIS NUMBERS.
In Texas i was at caucus in my prec. signing people in and many said off the cuff that they were republicans who crossed over to vote for obama. If Ohio is being checked then in all fairness we need to check wy and Tx and maybe a few other states.
I had thought I might vote for Obama if Clinton lost but after our primary I would never consider it. Obamas people pulled underhanded things all across our state, while the Clinton higher ups told us to just concentrate on doing the right thing, we were not to stoop to their level. Because of this Obama will loose delegates in our state- they didnt need to act like they did. The Clinton people were there to be fair and see what happened.
If it had been fair Obama and clinton delegates would have been almost equal -instead obama ended up with more in our prec. This is the way obama did things in Chicago and that is how he organized his people to do it all over the country. His people strong armed and pushed and intimidated but there is such a thing as Dem process , so if you have a complaint you can voice it to committees and that is what many Clinton people have done. We documented these incidents so everyone would know.
Go Hillary , madam president

Hillary exaggerated, plain and simple. How many of you would remember being shot at? I know that it would be a vivid memory for me. If you look at her March 17th video footage claiming the Bosnia trip as experience, she tried convincingly to lie. Then when confronted with an alternative story of the Bosnia trip by Sinbad told to a reporter, Hillary belittled him. And now it turns out that what Sinbad said was true. This incident goes to the core of Hillary's character.

Hillary only acknowledged that she "misspoke" after video footage came out showing her contradiction and more interviews with others on the Bosnia trip spoke out. Can we trust Hillary to tell the truth? We already have a current President who suffers for lack of truthfulness.

We should judge a person by their actions and not their words.

The fact that Obama choose Mr. Wright as his spiritual teacher for 20 years and included Mr. Wright in his election staff speaks well for Mr. Obama's thinking and actions. Words are easy to manipulate and it is UNLIKELY that Obama's recent race speech was written by Mr. Obama himself, but of course written by his spin machine.

But it seems to me if Mr. Obama had a lighter skin tone, there is no way he would be tolerated in as much he is aligned with a violent religious group, and never says anything substantial. And not only that, consider yesterday's announcement that the chief of the firm involved in the State Department's passport breach is Obama's adviser. And that Obama has been caught lying about Rezko, regarding the amount of money Rezko gave him, and that Obama still hasn't come clean about his Rezko land deal.

If Obama were to become president, what would stop Mr. Obama from appointing Mr. Wright to his cabinet? And to be sure, if anyone complained about Mr. Wright's appointment, they would be called racist.

We should have as our country's leader someone with wisdom and knowledge regardless of race, not someone hungry for power for the sake of power.

Out of all the 300 million people in America, is this really who you want for president - blindly popular with young people, power hungry, deceptive, vague, and coldly self-centered - is there a better definition of a potential Anti-Christ?

Why is this surprising to anyone? You would have to be very arrogant and certain that you covered all of your tracks, and wiped all of the fingerprints away to have "misspoken" like that...I mean there were news reporters with cameras which had tapes in them to record this "Historical" event. So it baffles me as to why Hillary thought that she can have a "Blip" and basically keep it moving.

Obama's former pastor, Rev. Wright, was in the US Marines. Rev. Wright has been instrumental in helping to develop ministries in his community that address poverty, HIV/AIDS, civil rights, homelessness, lack of chrisitan faith, and family cohesion for over 35 years.

Mo...I know it is tempting and easy to define a person with three 10-second or so sound bites, but get real and get educated. Go to YouTube and see most of the talk (~10 minutes) from which one of sound bites was taken. If Rev. Wright was so Anti-American and Anti-White, why was he invited to the White House with other ministers to have a prayer breakfast with then President Bill Clinton right before Bill Clinton went on the Monica Lewinski trial?

U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton's lying about her Bosnia trip was not a mere "minor blip" as some Clinton advisers and admirers claim. This was a major embellished remark used by Sen. Clinton to bolster her so called "foreign affairs experiences." Just wonder how many other "minor blips" she already uttered, and if elected U.S. President, how many lies and deceits she's got in storage.

So here's a question to the Clinton supporters...is she a trustworthy person after being caught inflating her experience here? Can you trust the other 34.5 years of experience she has claimed?

She sure doesn't seem trustworthy to me.

Would you want a doctor who "misspoke" on her resume?

A banker who "misspoke" on her resume?

A financial planner who "misspoke" about her qualifications?

A significant other who "misspoke" about him/herself?

How would you feel if you were passed over for a promotion and you found out the person they hired "misspoke" about their qualifications?

Why do you want a President who will do this?

It's as clear as day when you see the differences between the two. Obama makes mistakes and owns up to them. Hillary makes mistakes and tries to spin it. Every candidate will make mistakes, and no matter how the media tries to inflate or deflate the mistake, it's going to happen to each of them. The thing we should be judging as voters is how they respond to the mistake.

In the next news cycle, you'll likely hear about the right wing conspiracy to control the media to make Hillary look bad(Victim card). How if she were a man and said these things that it wouldn't matter (Gender card). If she were black and did this it wouldn't make the evening news (Race card). The truth is that she told a lie and got caught. Sure enough, the Clinton spin machine is already prepping the reporters for tomorrows "card" spin cycle. The only question is which card will she play?

If a candidate builds their campaign on experience, and when you drill down into their experience you find it's been fabricated, what does that lead you to believe about the whole campaign? I for one see a serious flaw in the campaign strategy - which makes me wonder about the type of Presidential strategy she would formulate.

I hope the media will drill down into all that she is claiming as policy experience and vet it for what it is. There is obviously some fluff here and we need to see what's underneath.

The truth is right in front of you. And as we saw when we elected the village idiot in office now, you get what you vote for.

Don't vote for a liar. You'll get lies.

I Misspoke

It was a treacherous night landing. Ice had formed on both of our wings, and as I looked out the port window, I could see it breaking into shards, flying off into the night sky with each near barrel roll of our C-50, highlighted by the flares shooting past on either side of the cabin, turning them into falling prisms of wildly careening light.

As the cabin lurched back and forth and the sounds of rocket fire percussed the urgent, faltering rhythm of our right engine, I unfastened my seat belt, and, finding my center of gravity, rose from my seat, moving past aides frozen stock still in their chairs, arms locked like girders against their arm rests in terror, and walked up the center aisle to the pilot's cabin.

"How long to Kosovo"? I shouted over the screaming whine of the altimeter's alarm, marking our steep descent. The pilot turned, looked at me in shocked recognition--"How...how did you make it up here? No one has ever walked up here in these conditions before! How..."

"Never mind that!" I barked, with what I hoped was a not too stern forcefulness, combined with sufficient steel and empathy to create the appearance of a firm imperturbability. "Check the master FMC! Is it working or has it failed?"

The pilot, paused, as if in amazement at my readiness, and then himself awakening to crisis, looked to the Control Display Unit . "It's down! It's down!" he shouted. A bead of sweat began to form on his brow.

I knew what I had to do. "Get out of there!" I commanded, and pulled him from the seat, from where he crumbled to a fetal position on the floor behind me.

I knew that the passengers had likely been gulled by the earlier soft patter of the pilot.

It swept the militia away in a single screaming motion that combined with the screaming that arose from the cabin, as we continued to move towards the small, makeshift terminal, where the dignitaries, negotiators, and heads of state awaited for my arrival.

The flight was in fact actually a regularly scheduled chartered flight that was actually flown by the pilot and co-pilot--although the pilot did have a cold, and during the flight, I did at several times give serious attention to our flight conditions (notes indicate that I found it "a bit bumpy"). I would also note that the dinner, Salmon with Creamed Potatoes, was undercooked, and was served with a Riesling that was unusually dry. It is also true that we were met not by a militia, but by a girl's youth soccer team. However, it was necessary for me to dodge a soccer ball as team members demonstrated their often aggressive skills. No other shots were fired.

In short: I misspoke."

HOW TO SPOT A CANDIDATE IN TROUBLE WITH THE TRUTH:
Junior Senator Clinton shifts her eyes to the right and upward - not making eye contact with her audience - as though seeking help from above. Junior Senator Obama touches his nose or straightens his tie, indicating inner conflict or discomfort with what he is saying. Neither one of the Junior Senator Candidates - with their 'shoulda/coulda/woulda/oughta' rhetoric - deserve promotion to President. They are embarrassing all Democratic voters. My advice is: Go back to Congress and spend a few more years learning the job you were elected to.

The current pres is also a porven liar.

This just shows how low Hillary Clinton is willing to go just to get votes. This Woman lied her way through Texas and Ohio and we fell for it big time. But the Republicans are just ready and waiting to reveal the endless list of her Husband's Libray and Foundation's Secret Foreign Donors. Her tax returns and her role in the death of Vince Foster in the White water investigation. She does not stand a chance under this sun with the Republican Propaganda machine.
The truth is that SHE LIED A LOT JUST FOR VOTES. The press must go after her like you did on Obama about Pastor Wright.
I hope you all stand for the truth.

As a white middle class woman living in Pennsylvania, I have just officially changed my vote from Clinton to Obama. It's easy...while he can learn policy, she can't learn ethics. Some characteristics can be taught -- i.e. foreign policy. She can not be taught to be honest and hold truth among everything else to the American people. Clinton seems to believe that the working class people who have often supported her are naive. We are not. We will check facts and investigate our candidates. I hope other people who had formerly supported Clinton will also reconsider and move towards Obama. We need someone who can be honest and teach our children well.

Signed, former Clinton supporter now voting for Obama

Dems in Demise

Not too long ago the Democrats proudly showcased two attractive candidates. Either one could make history in a successful bid for their party's presidential nomination -- a white female who believed herself to be an experienced fighter and a biracial male who offered himself as a uniter. The two continue to be locked together in epic battle that potentially could damage their credibility as well as ruin their party's chances to win the war for the White House. In a protracted fight, the candidates can make more mistakes (i.e., Hillary's lie about snipers shooting at her in Tuzla, Bosnia is a mistake an ingénue would make), exposing their warts and weaknesses for the whole world to see. (Even after the dust settles, how can Obama be credible, standing in the forefront of a fractious, dysfunctional party?) This primary race, although quite amazing in many ways, can become the laughingstock in U.S. political history. Any international observer (I am German) can see the urgent need for Democratic Party elders to stop the fray before the damage becomes irreparable, to preserve positive party image, and to prevent the candidates' from ruining their reputations.

Whenever I visit a war zone rife with snipers, I always try to standup straight and remember to wear a yellow scarf. Seriously, it occurred to me that we haven't heard much from Sidney Blumenthal of late. Remember Sidney, long-time friend and senior advisor to presidential candidate Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the man who coined the term "vast right-wing conspiracy?" Sidney blew through Greeley Park at speeds in excess of 70-mph., in a 30-mph. zone. (Ironically, Hillary tears up and wins NH.) Sidney was inebriated; he failed to walk the walk. He failed the field sobriety test - got arrested, handcuffed, incarcerated - just like Dee Dee Myers does every so often. Point being, had Barack Obama's pastor, the Reverend J.A. Wright, done such a thing, would Hillary ever let Barack live it down? Sidney was booked for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, DWI. End of story: http://theseedsof9-11.com

This loser of a candidate does not deserve to represent this country. It is bad enough that she represents New York, do we need her in the Whitehouse again. You can't choose your relatives, Hillary said, but you can choose your preacher. Well, Barack chose his firebrand preacher and defended him, if not all of his words. Hillary chose her cheating husband, enabled his sex adiction, condoned his immoral and sometimes criminal abuse of women and used her political clout to terrify, intimidate and persecuted his victims to keep them quiet. Oh, did I mention her husband was indicted (impreached) for perjury (lying)? Something about snipers in stained blue dresses.

Hillary has been caught in a lie that goes to the heart of her 'vast experience conspiracy'. She wants to come across as "ready on day one", but she is not right on day one. When she claims to have 'misspoke' three times in three different places, Iowa, Texas and Pennsylvania it rings like a lie. She stated that the Bosnia trip was "particularly" in her memory of visiting with the troops. She says "I clearly remember...". Then she is exposed for lying and says she 'misspoke'.

Kwame Kilpatrick, embattled mayor of Detroit also misspoke. He is now facing 15 years in prison.

This is very disturbing. Here we have a candidate running for President who has shown herself to be a pathological liar. Coming under sniper fire is not something you misspeak about -- unless it has happened several times and then you get confused.

There is no evidence that Mrs. Clinton has ever come under sniper fire. So, for her to say that she has is not a "misspeak" but a huge lie of extreme proportions. And when you put it together with her grandiose claims about negotiating the North Ireland Peace Accords, the lie about she was instrumental in SCHIP and her lie that she was against NAFTA while openly working to see it enacted, shows that this is someone who should be under psychological care-- not running for president. Why she even lied about how she got her name!

We don't need to go back to the Clinton adminisration to see all of the lies Hillary has uttered. She's still doing it. How someone could seriously consider her for President makes me wonder about the collective mental health of the American public.

Lighten up, people!
Hillary told a war story which, like most war stories, was considerably embellished.
My guess? She knew she was 'embroidering' her account, but, gosh, it made a heck of a story for an audience who came to hear a rousing speech from a presidential hopeful. Better than explaining in detail her actual mission, which was probably as exciting as most diplomatic missions (which may explain why diplomatic reports are less avidly read than sensational blogs?).
But compare her lie to Obama's lie about Wright, whom he claimed not to have ever heard voice a negative comment, then carefully criticized for only those on You-tube, and then did major damage control by giving a speech on race standing in front of a blue background with six American flags.
So what is worse, embellishing a war story for a partisan audience or lying about what you heard in church?
And which speaks to the character of the candidate more?
Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire? Come on!
It is politics as usual.
In every sense of the word, and any claim the Obama camp might have had to running a 'positive' campaign is long dead. . . .

Greg Craig, Obama Hitman, May Have Violated Attorney-Client Privilege With Clintons

Is the Obama campaign violating the fundamental tenet of American jurisprudence, the sacred bond of trust between a lawyer and their client? Under the rules of every bar association, based on tradition going back centuries of Anglo-Saxon legal principles, a lawyer must never exploit the intimate relationship with a client for other purposes that might benefit the lawyer. For this breach of trust, lawyers have regularly been disbarred.

This whole "she said, he said, she said, he said" is getting absurd! Where is the media on the real issues: Housing crisis, recession, cost of food and gas, global warming, cost and availability of health care, job losses?

And if we're going to accuse candidates of lying/misspeaking, why don't we do it on substantive issues: For example, Sen. Obama has taken $1.74 million in campaign contributions from subprime mortgage lenders and mortage securities "banks" that sell these securities to foreign countries like China, Japan, GB, Australia, India.

Lehman Brothers $274,147
Morgan Stanley $190,026
Goldman Sachs $474,428
GMAC $3,400
Countrywide $13,100
Washington Mutual $10,750
Citigroup $199,860
Morgan Stanley $210,550
Centex $1,350
Goldman Sachs $367,550

Well said, Mabelle55!!! I completely agree. All of this fuss over a misstatement about the Bosnia trip.. why aren't the media attacking Obama for his LACK OF FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE.

Let's face it - Hillary visited 80 countries while First Lady, and made several trips to Bosnia since 1996. Did anyone consider the fact that perhaps she was recalling a different visit?

I am thoroughly disgusted with some of these so-called "media fact checkers" for digging on the trivial, when our focus as a country should be on IMPORTANT ISSUES -- such as the failing economy, the weaking US dollar, the imminent threat to Social Security and MedicAid, and our precarious oil situation.

Let's stay FOCUSED --- and start reporting on issues that MATTER..

Posted by: IllinoisVoter | March 26, 2008 9:37 PM | Report abuse

What I find most disgraceful, is that the AMERICAN MEDIA FACT CHECKER POLICE failed to mention all of the excellent work Hillary has done for foreign countries. Perfect example is the article below. When everyone was digging for ways to tarnish Hillary's foreign experience, funny how no one in the media chose to share the following article that appeared in the Belfast newspaper:

BELFAST TELEGRAPH
Outcry to tell First Lady of attacks

Saturday, August 29, 1998
By Gail Walker
HUMAN rights group Outcry is to hand over a hard-hitting dossier of recent cases of paramilitary-style intimidation to Hillary Clinton next week.
Nancy Gracey, founder of Outcry, will give the detailed document to the First Lady during a seminar at BelfastÕs Waterfront Hall on Wednesday in a bid to increase pressure on the terror groups Òto back offÓ.
Ms Gracey, from Downpatrick, said today: ÒWeÕve been invited as guests to this conference and we see it as another opportunity to make Mrs Clinton and her husband aware of what is really going on.
ÒSome of these people sitting round a table talking about peace have the power to stop what is going on but they pretend itÕs nothing to do with them. ItÕs disgusting.ÓMs Gracey, who previously founded another anti-terror organisation, Families Against Intimidation and Terror (FAIT) after her son was kneecapped by the IRA, said she was confident Mrs Clinton would take her views on board.

And yet another example of Hillary's work in Northern Ireland, another foreign policy effort the "media fact checkers" and Obama's crew have minimized as "tea visits" and cheerleading. READ ON:

BELFAST TELEGRAPH
Clinton gets a standing ovation

Thursday, May 13, 1999
By Maureen Coleman
HILLARY Clinton was today given a standing ovation when she arrived in Belfast to attend a special conference.
The First Lady enjoyed a rapturous reception from the 400 delegates attending the Vital Voices conference in the Spires Centre.
Mrs Clinton looked radiant in a navy trouser suit and a bronze- coloured shirt.
She didn't seem too distracted by members of the Socialist Workers Party who staged a demonstration outside calling for an end to the NATO bombing campaign in the Balkans.
Mrs Clinton was praised for her 'vital voice' of concern for women's issues and community development in Northern Ireland.
She was the guest of honour at the event _ organised by the Northern Ireland Voluntary Trust _ which coincided with the second and final day of her visit to the province.
State of the art video technology today gave female high fliers, attending three different business events across Northern Ireland and the Republic, a chance to talk directly with Mrs Clinton.
The theme of the initiative _ to encourage the active participation of women in social, economic and political life _ echoed from Cavan to Londonderry and Craigavon.
Speaking at the conference, Avila Kimurray, Director of NIVC, said Mrs Clinton's interest in Northern Ireland had acknowledged the importance of women here.

And again, another instance disputing the so-called media fact checkers and the Obama camp calling Hillary out for her role in Northern Ireland:

Hillary to make peace address

Monday, December 11, 2000
By Ashleigh Wallace
FIRST Lady Hillary Clinton is to give a peace speech to a packed Opera House on Wednesday.
Hosted by the Northern Ireland Voluntary Trust, Senator Clinton will give the keynote address at the 'Women Raising Their Voices for the New Northern Ireland' conference.
Wednesday's event coincides with the Trust's 21st anniversary. Mrs Clinton will also be announcing details of the first recipients of the Trust's Social Justice Fund, established with the help of Senator George Mitchell.
NIVT director Avila Kilmurray commented: "Hillary Clinton joins us at a time of some uncertainty in the peace process and following a number of recent murders.
"All of us want to look forward to Christmas with renewed hope and do not wish to be dragged back to the dark days of extreme inter-community violence and murder.
"I hope Hillary will use her speech to remind us all of how far we have travelled, what we have gained from the peace process so far, and what we can gain in the future if we build on that peace."

Instead of focusing on her talents, the media fact checkers and the Obama grease-machine have been burying the Democratic Campaign efforts with nothing but negative commentary and trivial hypocrisy about releasing tax records. Any human being who has been working as diligently on this campaign while also taking time to actually fulfill her Senate duties (Obama definitely has NOT) is bound to make a statement that is forgetful. To draw the conclusion of "what would she do at the 3 am call" is simply ridiculous. While the blogs here are repeating the same trash the media has been throwing about, no one seems terribly interested IN FACTS AND EXPERIENCE...

Just a small glimpse of Hillary's experience as a Senator:

Clinton has served on five Senate committees with nine subcommittee assignments:
1. Committee on Armed Services (since 2003)[190]
Subcommittee Assignments: Airland | Emerging Threats and Capabilities | Readiness and Management Support
2. which replaced an earlier assignment from 2001 on the Committee on Budget[191]
3. Committee on Environment and Public Works (since 2001)[191]
Subcommittee Assignments: Clean Air, Wetlands, Private Property, and Nuclear Safety | Fisheries, Wildlife, and Water | Superfund, Waste Control, and Risk Assessment
4. Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions(since 2001)[191]
Subcommittee Assignments: Aging | Children and Families
5. Special Committee on Aging.[192]
6. Commissioner of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe[193] (since 2001).[194]

Posted by: IllinoisVoter | March 26, 2008 9:57 PM | Report abuse

And, yet again, additional facts the MEDIA FACT CHECKING POLICE have failed to raise to the attention of the American public. The excerpt below represent different areas of legislation that OBAMA DID NOT SUPPORT, OR DIDN'T VOTE FOR ---YOU BE THE JUDGE:

Senator Clinton voted against the tax cuts introduced by President Bush, including the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003, saying it was fiscally irresponsible to reopen the budget deficit. At the 2000 Democratic National Convention, Clinton had called for maintaining a budget surplus to pay down the national debt for future generations. At a fundraiser in 2004, she told a crowd of financial donors that "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you" but that "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. AS FAR AS WHO IS MORE QUALIFIED -- WHO WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE AS PRESIDENT -- WAR-HAPPY MCCAIN, OR WIMPY OBAMA WITH NO TANGIBLE RECORD OF SENATE ACTIVITIES TO HELP HIS OWN HOME STATE:

In Clinton's first term as senator, New York's jobless rate rose by 0.7 percent after a nationwide recession.[213] The state's manufacturing sector was especially beleaguered, losing about 170,000 jobs.[214] In 2005, Clinton and Senator Lindsey Graham cosponsored the American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition, which provides incentives and rewards for completely domestic American manufacturing companies.[215] In 2003, Clinton convinced the information technology firm Tata Consultancy Services to open an office in Buffalo, New York,[216] but some criticized the plan because Tata is also involved in the business of outsourcing.[217] In 2004, Clinton co-founded and became the co-chair of the Senate India Caucus[218] with the aid of USINPAC, a political action committee.[219][220]

What is the job description of a 1st lady? Is it not expected that she would accompany her husband on trips? I just don't understand why her trips are being treated as cabinet level or presidential experience. She does not have foreign policy experience and the same applies to Obama. They don't have to have this experience to become president. We can judge both persons by their proposed foreign policy leanings, otherwise we would be making a bad choice.

All of you Democrats who gleaned out the two best candidates you could come up with from a field of many more, perhaps it is time to take a hard look at why the cream that is rising to the top is sour. The ideas that attract the kind of of leaders and supporters need review and revision. Otherwise you will get the ones who can articulate the ideas the best or the ones who will be ruthless enough to win at any cost, including sinking the Democratic party and enabling Republicans.

Now she wants to conentrate on the issues, give me a break!!Anyways she's lost nomination so let's move on and begin concentration on Mclame.

What makes the blatant lie worse for Senator Hillary Clinton is her campaign's contemptuous comeback belittling Senator Barack Obama. It must be a nightmare for the Clinton campaign staff to continue this unending frustration of dealing with campaign gaffes.

About these mis-speaks or lying episoseS... Could it be that she is just a tool for Powerful people that really run this country? Afterall she was always un-electable by any stardards (general population would not have voted for her)and the only reason she was put there was to make sure that the dinasty of New World Order continues with McCain at the helm, maybe some time ago they realized Obama or Ron Paul might interfere with their agenda so they put her there to prevent it? It's just too creepy how she lies so easily and w/o fear of consequences. I know this sounds like conspiracy...to some but I get chills thinking how everything is falling into place for them.

She LIED!!! How could anyone vote for Ms Clinton? She is mean spirited and willing to do anything to win, even destroy the party by comparing herself to McCain and trashing Obama. Meanwhile the media is acting as if Mr Write is running for the white house. Mr. Obama has said over and over again that he strongly disagree with the comments that the racists made! Let's listen to what the man has to say about America and not his OLD pastor. We have got to do better America. Let's think like we are smart.

She is either an arrogant liar or a delusional sicko. She didn't misspeak. When she was given the opportunity to recant her tale in the wake of Sinbad's statements, she maintained her "recollection."

If we believe she "misspoke," she did so over and over and over again for months. That type of person shouldn't have her finger on the red button, which can start world war III. Will she create a scenerio in her brain where China or Russia is attacking us and shoot nukes? She needs help, not the presidency.

I lived and worked in Baghdad during 'The Iraq/Iran war as a nurse.Missiles were arriving in from Teharan and hitting all the strategic places around our apartment Block, which shuddered and shook every time a missile arrived. Later I worked in Dharan Saudi Arabia when Al Queada detonated a bomb near the Bulding where 'The American Military were living 12
Ace pilots were killed that night and many injured and we were the admitting Hospital
We were up all night taking care of casualties and not alone that our own apartment block where the medical staff lived was near the building where the military lived,We were all at home from the Day shift at the time and part of our building caved in roof areas and windows,I wonder if our building had been hit how sad there would not be enough facilities for these poor Military personnel to be treated in,I remember it was in the mid-ninties ,My point is I wsa exposed to more danger from missiles and bombs than Hilary Clinton ever was ,does this entitle me to run for the Presidency of the USA

As a college educated white male, I look forward to an Obama Presidency for reasons of both Heart and Mind. And while I am tired of living in the United States of Halliburton, I will not and cannot vote for Clinton. If by some chance Senator Obama does not get the nomination, I will again vote for Ralph Nader. I know many of you will complain. But, it is a matter of principle. I truely don't see a difference between Billary and the Republicans, except on a superficial level. There are way too many bodies buried in the Clinton's path to power. Voting for yet another compromised politician is not going to help this country. The campaign slogan that will win to the White House should be: "It's the integrity, stupid!"

The comments that should be analyzed by the "unbiased" media should include Obama's series of misstatements regarding Wright (Huffington post response prior to this controversy) and the ongoing Rezko relationship (Fundraising ,friendship, real estate deal & so on). Or, perhaps they should look into Michele's role in relation to never being asked for "favors" by this "individual"(obama referred to Rezko as 'this indivdual' during the CNN presidential campaign)...

No opponent could have made a commercial against her that was that good. Then she lies about the reason for it twice more==two different stories. Then it turns out she told this same fish story once in December and once in January and wrote about it in her book 5 years ago.RAMBO CLINTON!

The WashigntonPost Fact Checker
Obama CAUGHT LYING about Kennedys' Role in Helping His Father
Contrary to Obama's claims in speeches in January at American University and in Selma last year, the Kennedy family did not provide the funding for a September 1959 airlift of 81 Kenyan students to the United States that included Obama's father. According to historical records and interviews with participants, the Kennedys were approached for support for the program a year later, July 1960. family responded with a $100,000 donation, which went to pay for a second airlift in September 1960.

Hillary was trying to make a political/ business trip to Bosnia have a little humorous lead in to get the crowd livened up. The BHO campaign is trying to use it for a mental screen in getting people distracted from his Mentor , pastor, spiritual brother, and speaking inspiration. BHO remembers everything Wright or Wrong said. BHO was surly AMENing along with all the rest of the racist church who continue to call the whites racist. Dont vote for BHO to atone for the sins of our fathers. He is not the chosen one. Just some smooth talkin, money collectin preacher who is already readin his headlines of the future. BHO and GWB have a lot in common cause they only hear the voices in their heads telling them that they have all the answers and need no advise from the american people. only your money and your vote.

Bill Clinton did a great service for the USA as president and Hillary was his #1 confidant and sounding board. A little action on the side only draws the public outrage of the hipocritical religeous freaks and republican A..hol.s . BHO is lying about his and pastor Wrong's suppressed hate and rage against the USA. I say god damn BHO and all the fools getting sucked in by his slippery tongue and lack of truthfulness about his past. Dis avows his father and grandparents religeous heritage, shudders when called by his real name , Barrack Husein Obama, refuses to disassociate his racist, antiAmerican religeous mentor, . The cult is alive and growing and asking for the chance to embarass America as much as GWB is now .

It is not the fact that Hillary lied that bothers me. People lie. They lie all the time. I don't think I've ever met a person that hasn't told a lie. A lie once told is out there. She didn't get pegged on it the first time she told the lie, or the second, or the third. It became the truth as far as anyone knew and Hillary didn't correct any misconceptions out there. Figuring that the media was in bed with her so she wouldn't have to worry. No Hillary lying doesn't bother me. I've come to expect that most politicians lie. Its all part of the game. But what bothers me? Is that she's running for president and doing this. What bothers me is the pattern of behavior that seems to surround the Clinton camp. It goes way back to the time when Bill was Governor of Arkansas and the whole Clintonian powerbase thing. I watched Bill lie when he said he never inhaled, and you could see the smirk in his eyes. I didn't believe him but voted for him anyway, because there weren't any better options. Bill wasn't a bad president, but he .perjured himself and almost got impeached. This again shows little regard for the truth. Its like the truth doesn't even matter. Its trivial...

There's a saying I'm fond of, it goes something like this...

A lie will travel around the world three times before the truth even gets its shoes on.

give it a break, that isnt news or maybe you dont have anything important to discuss!
Sen clintons people will be ready in the up in coming states, they know obamas drill now.
Both campaigns have been stretched by this race for the WH. It has to be good to learn so much in such a short time. They are both fighters. but I sure dont think Obama thought Hillary would be this tough.
Go get them Hillary and we will be right behind you helping to make it happen.
I dont believe the gallup poll at this point-these things change so fast and all this new info about obama is going to sink in and stick eventually.
I predict these two candidates are going to be neck and neck right up to the natl convention. She has some good states up ahead for her and it will end with the delegates and supers at the natl convention.
He is only 100 delegates ahead of her and most of those in my estimation he didnt deserve because he worked the caucus's so he would get the lions share by just turning out more people after the primarys-at least in tx. His people where more available then hers. If she had caught on earlier-he wouldnt be were he is at.
And fl and mich need to counted somehow, if is just to be seated and counted at the natl convention. if Sen clinton gets that far i think they need to be counted completely for all the people in their states. There will be lots of undecided who can vote for Obama if they want since he is the only other candidate.
No extra vote taken just use the one that is there but allow all the delegates that are already selected.
sounds good!!!!!!From TX

at least Clinton WAS in Bosnia

...where was obama...

doing some crack with the gangs of Honolulu

..or...perhaps...listening to the rev wright latest cd entitled

"HOW GDNED AMErICA AND THE WHITE MAN WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT"

...
or maybe...he was having something like

dreams of deceiving masses of urban voters into thinking "i am their color and just maybe i can get them to think that i am actually from the hood too"...

at least hillary WAS IN BOSNIA OK???

It takes time to develop a real foreign policy and a real feel for the world circumstances and situation

if obama would have been even anywhere near the national stage in the 90's...

bosnia would have been a great learning curve for him

instead...he was "visiting south chicago"

nothing wrong w/ that

but please do not criticize a real true world figure...

whether or not she made a mistake in stating how she landed

one thing is very clear

she went there and she spoke on behalf of the United States to important folks

and...

she and bill LOST a very very close african american friend whose plane did GO DOWN IN AND NEAR BOSNIA

RON BROWN a very strong clinton supporter and DEM PARTY CHAIR and clinton adminitration official

and HILLARY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THAT PLANE

can the national media fact check that one???

PLEASE...it happen and i know about it because i had personal info about the nature of the loss of the plane and how Hillary was supposed to be on the same one that crashed in the mountains over that region...and with that this resulted in the death of this critical african american american CLINTON supporter

in the 90's...the clinton era

the nation DID benefit economically

the average income increased over $7,000 a year and the black inner city unemployment WENT DOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 25 years...

and so did the inner city crime rate because of this...

...the black middle class income rose

AND

THE US ECONOMY WAS COMING OUT OF DEBT

w/ the clinton endorsed and led tobacco company settlement

the state coffers were flush w/ big cash

and we were NOT INVOLVED IN A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR PRE EMPTIVE WAR ANYWHERE

there were great strides in the national debt and there was a general sense that there was an effort to make peace across very difficult ethnic regions of the globe

like ireland and bosnia and the mid east

...but o..yea...
bill got a blow job and the rose law firm got some records subpeaneas...all at a cost of over $150 million dollars in

jess helms and ken "i represent big tobacco companies for a living" starr...

...and ...NONE OF IT ENDED IN ANY REAL SERIOUS FELONY OR EVEN MISDEMEANOR INDICTMENTS AGAINST BILL OR ANYONE LIKE HILARY...

...even despite the republican scaife mellon jessie helms racist baiting

smear machine

mmmm....i wonder why?

...mmm....oh...yea..that's right

a blow job even in the oval office

isn't a crime...

...i guess i have to check my puritanical
book of common law first

to see if that's been changed by

the folks who have brought us death, lies and destruction who....

get their kicks from

seeking "love" from young male interns with whom they hire

and even stranger gay bathroom visits in minneasota airport
crowd

....so much for the morality of american issue

give me bill and h illary

and a few blow jobs

and you can have iraq and its sick lies and its million dead

and our national honor in tatters across the globe

its quite an exchange indeed...

hint: hilary would not be giving blow jobs by the way...or taking them...

she's a real woman...ok?

she would just be undoing all the damage that your convervative "moralists" have caused this great nation....ever since they have left office

Wow! The Obama camp found the poor little Bosnian girl that is disappointed with Senator Clinton. Then there is Michelle Obama, a very angry woman who expresses anti-American sentiments that, "life in America is not good, we're a country that is just down right mean . . . We're a country that is guided by fear, We're a nation of cynics, sloths and complacents." Mrs. Obama comes from a black blue-collar family, attended both Princeton and Harvard, is now making a six-figure income and living in a $1.6 million home. This is the couple we ought to put in the White House! I don't think so.

For God's sake! Hillary Clinton has been trying her best to lay out her vision for America, yet she is ripped to pieces by vitriolic media pundits. The story of her trip to Bosnia has been hammered, hammered, and hammered and today Obama's camp found the poor little disappointed Bosnia girl who claims to be upset with Senator Clinton!

The media have given Obama a free ride! Little has been said about Obama's disingenuous claims about his role in key legislation during his few years in the Senate, or how he attended Pastor Wright's services and never heard any of the sermons that were posted on You-tube! The media doesn't get it! Obama has a serious problem with credibility. Obama claims to be transracial. WRONG. If Obama was transracial he would have left Wright's white racist church as quickly as he called for the head of Don Imus. Obama claims that he has a Camelot connection due to his father arriving in America on a student scholarship funded by the Kennedy family. WRONG. Obama claims his father arrived in America at the height of the civil rights movement. WRONG. Obama's father arrived in America, September, 1959. Obama continues to inflate and make disingenuous claims about his role in key legislation during his few years in the Senate. WRONG. Although, the media are starting to flush out Obama's inconsistencies, they have a long way to go. The media has a serious problem with credibility.
