Tweeting the Night Away at the White House Correspondents' Dinner
It's Washington's big prom night and the Sleuth is on the prowl. We just left video diva Tammy Haddad's garden brunch, a prequel always to the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin didn't come to town, but her emissary, husband Todd Palin, did. He was at the brunch with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren, whose husband, John Coale, runs Palin's PAC. (Van Susteren is taking Mr. Palin to the dinner.)
Also at Haddad's: Val Kilmer, Christian Slater, Kerry Washington, David Gregory, Walter Isaacson, Adam Levine, Richard Wolffe (about to come out with the first big Obama campaign book "Renegade") and our very favorite Hollywood mogul, Joe Pichirallo.
And Captain Richard Phillips, of Somali pirate fame, was also there. (Busy day for the captain - he also met with President Obama at the White House.) Phillips will be a guest of Bloomberg News at tonight's dinner.
We'll be there, tweeting the night away. And we'll have a full update for you tomorrow morning.
