Ensign Interns Want Out

It would appear that the interns in Sen. John Ensign's (R-Nev.) office either aren't pleased with their boss's philandering ways or are worried about what kind of future they have in his office.

The intern coordinator in Ensign's office sent out the following e-mail this afternoon at 4:02 p.m. with importance "high" attached to it:

Good Afternoon-

This is Jessica from Ensign's office. I am trying to find out if anyone has any openings for interns. I have some really great interns that want to relocate to another office. If you have anything or know of someone who does please let me know.

Thanks for your help.

Jessica L. Walton
Administrative Manager/Intern Coordinator

We tried contacting Walton at the phone number she listed on her e-mail and were routed to her voice mail both times. We left a message seeking comment.

Um, didn't he resign his leadership post? Doesn't that mean a significant reduction in staff? Maybe they'd want out anyway, but I'm just sayin'.

Well it sounds like a good plan to me.. I think this goes a lot deeper than appears.
Hypocrite says it all an He should just just quit now ie: give up his seat He has done all the damage he needs to. But than again i am a independent leaning demo now but this is getting bad....

It is completely understandable for them to want to transfer elsewhere. They seek to be taken seriously and now find themselves associated with a lying, hypocritical, scandalous, corrupt joke. Who would want to say I interned for Pastor Haggard, Sen. Larry Craig, Sen. David 'Diaperman' Vitter, or Mark Foley? Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Pretty ironic that a story about a sex scandal has a large real estate ad next to it, that for some reason has two pairs of intertwined legs laying on a bed as a come-on.

I've got to believe there's A LOT more than we know so far. Ensign's family, staff and colleagues wouldn't be deserting him over an affair. This response is more vehement than Craig's, and he pleaded guilty to a sordid misdemeanor. I don't think it's far-fetched to suggest whatever Sen. Ensign has done, it's going to put him in jeopardy of going where Ted Stevens was gonna go.

A nice piece. So why was Dan Froomkin let go?

Couldn't be happening to a nicer dick. And by dick I mean penis.

He last posted at his usual beat, WH Watch, this afternoon.

Well, it seem's the crew are making plans to jump off this SINKING SHIP, called the USS Ensign. Sen. Ensign doesn't need to they the TRUTH, the truth is telling it self. There's a lot more of those "SELF-RIGHTEOUS" REPUBLICANS in the Congress, who will be making Headlines showing their DIRTY SECRETS. They want to keep using GOD for their own gain. Well, the price is going to be pretty high in this life and after they leave the world.

Dear Ms. Walton
We have found some "positions" for your interns at the offices of Mr. Newt Gingrich and Mr. William Clinton. Thank you for your inquiry and good day.

Was Dan Froomkin let go because of his stance on torture?? Neo-cons advocating war crimes are the ones that need to be fired from the post.

The "good" Senator should take his own advice given to all those other "philandering" politicians and resign. The longer that he and the David Vitters of the Republican Party hang around the more hypocritical their whole group becomes, when they speak of the "sanctity of marriage" and "family values". This guys hypocrisy is made even worse by the fact that he had to be blackmailed before making his "sins" public.

Okay Nancy Drew, you have a job. Use your sleuthing skills to find out why Froomkin was fired. Something stinks. Was it for economic reasons? So Krauthammer could buy more hair dye? No one believes anything Hiaat says.

Maybe former Congressman Mark Foley of Port St Lucie has an idea.

The Washington Post is apparently milking this dreary easily forgettable saga with Cizzilla's joint piece running three days and now The Sleuth jumps into the feeding frenzy. But hey, is has been done before and better. Cuckold Parker-Bowles pimped out his wife Camilla to Prince Charles by blessing their illicit union, earning himself a firm place in the Royal Circle and a permanent seat on a Polo pony. But this is not merry Olde England, and Senators are not Princes, even if they actually believe they are. This is America and we shed all that nonsense well over a century ago. Morality reigns now with it's demands and it's quest for that pound of flesh. Ensign is ruined, out of a job, disgraced and shunned by his peers. All dignity evaporated he apologises to his saintly wife, who will diligently gnaw on this forever. He will disappear ( how he wishes) into oblivion, but not until the press have finished with him or until some other big name is naughty. And where is Mrs Hampton? Intact with a Swiss cheese reputation she is hastily tossed back into the lap of a red faced husband, who has a one way ticket to Fiji tucked into his back pocket, leaving her to a future selling real estate. Over the pond Prince Charles will be crowned King and Camilla will be his Queen and they will both live happily ever after. Life's not fair in moral America, is it Senator?

Glad to find out their are some unhypocritcal republicans in Washington.
Perhaps they should seek internship with the democrats and encourage them to be less wimps and get some of Obamas original promises back on track.

Probably more to it, but this pretend puritan country could be a bit more sophisticated. Didn't one of Frances leaders have both his wife and mistress attend his funeral.
Less "holier than thou" attitudes would lead to less hypocrisy.........

Question, why can no one find "Cindy Hampton?" She worked in Sen. Ensign's Office, yet there is nothing....

Usually, news stories cover pictures of both involved in affairs, don't they? Maybe some of these interns who want to leave Ensign have a picture with him and her in it??? So far the national, state, and local news have presented NOTHING on her. Why not?....

It's possible, THE "Cindy Hampton" in the Senator Ensign affair may have LA connections, so check it out....

1) At age 46, would she be a "Class of 1981"? ...

2) What was her maiden name?...

3) There is a "Cindy (Barnes) Hampton" listed for Canyon High School, Anaheim Hills, California, on Classmates.com, could this be her?...

4) Would there be a picture in the yearbook?....

5) Do you know anyone there to check it out in the school library?....

Just curious from some random internet searches that led to this possibility. Good luck.

MAYBE TOMORROW....

Hey jetphixter1, did you ask the Democrats who did the same or worse to resign their seat. How come its only the Republicans that aren't qualified if they cheat on their wives? Some Democrats are caught with $100K of graft in their freezer but still stay in office.

Senator Ensign's interns should be encouraged to find another less-scandalous Congressman's staff on which to serve. There has to be one among the 435 other scallawags on capitol hill....
