Better Business Bureau Releases Line of 'How-To' Books

The Better Business Bureau, an organization that sets standards for fair business practices, has published its first line of "how-to" books.

The first three titles in the series include books on how to launch a business on eBay (pdf excerpt of book), open a franchise, and buy a home.

"Each book is designed to help consumers and entrepreneurs make informed choices and feel confident in making the many important financial decisions they make," said Steve Cole, president and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus.

To develop the series, the BBB worked with The Planning Shop, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based publisher of books for entrepreneurs.

The BBB Insiders' Guides, which became available last week, can be purchased via the bureau's Web site, online retailer or national bookstore chains such as Barnes & Noble.
