Travels Along Recession Road

Here's another look at the yard sale -- or, rather, roadside sale -- from the poignant blog by my colleagues Theresa Vargas and Michael Williamson. This post chronicles an afternoon with a family at the end of the line, selling all their belongings as they scrounge for money to pay their bills.
Theresa and Michael are traveling across the country this summer on a recession road trip to find the untold stories of the economic downturn. It's by turns insightful and uplifting but also often sad because so many people are still suffering.
