Preparing for Honduras
United will play the New York Red Bulls tomorrow, then face Kansas City on Sunday morning in Bradenton. At that point, 18 players will be chosen for the travel roster to face Olimpia next Wednesday in Tegucigalpa. (The traveling party will drive from Bradenton to Miami on Sunday afternoon because of a very early-morning international flight on Monday.)
So who will Soehn select?
We know he'll bring two keepers: Perkins and probably McIntosh.
We know Boswell, Namoff and Erpen are in.
We know Olsen, B. Carroll, Simms and Gros are making the trip.
We know Gomez, Moreno and Emilio are going.
You've got to figure Walker, deRoux, McTavish, J. Carroll, Wilson and perhaps Needham, right?
Or will there be a surprise or two? Stokes? Moose? Arguez?
Keep in mind: Mediate is not ready for game action; Wilson is further along; Casal has a slight injury and might not be eligible yet anyway; Arguez is very young; Kpene and Schramm are inexperienced at this level.
