United Reserves Win
United defeated the Harrisburg (Pa.) City Islanders, 3-0, in an 80-minute match at the RFK Stadium training grounds. Trialist Nicholas Addlery scored twice and Fred had the other. Jay Nolly and Shawn Crowe split the goalkeeping. Fred played only the first half, as the playmaker. The starting backline was McTavish and deRoux on the flanks, Wilson in the middle. Fred was joined by Arguez, Moose, Casal and Walker. Addlery and Kpene were up top. Plenty of subs in the second half.
The game was watched by about 30 members of the United Soccer Club, which comprises young players from Southeast D.C., who train twice a week in Ward 8 under the supervision of former DCU player Judah Cooks.
