Down Goes Mexico

They struggled to beat Cuba, they lost to Honduras, and now Mexico needs to beat group leader Panama on Wednesday in Houston to secure a spot in the Gold Cup quarterfinals. A tie might work, as well, but prevent them from winning the group. Worst-case scenario for tournament organizers: Mexico somehow finishes third and faces the United States in the early elimination round at Foxborough.
