Golden Quarters
The Gold Cup quarterfinals are now set:
SATURDAY
*Canada-Guatemala
1 p.m., Foxborough, Telefutura
Outlook: Not pretty. Canada's patience will be tested by the disruptive Chapines.
Prediction: 0-0 (Canada advances on PKs, 4-2).
*USA-Panama
4 p.m. Foxborough, Univision, Fox Soccer Channel
Outlook: USA in good form, Panama very dangerous (as witnessed Wednesday) but missing two players with reds.
Prediction: 3-1, USA.
SUNDAY
*Mexico-Costa Rica
3 p.m. Houston, Univision
Outlook: Unimpressive El Tri lacks midfield influence and missing three suspended players, but Ticos a step behind.
Prediction: 1-0, Mexico.
*Honduras-Guadeloupe
6 p.m., Houston, Telefutura
Outlook: Catrachos are rolling. No stopping 'em here.
Prediction: 3-1, Honduras.
How do you think it will unfold?
