Keller to Start vs. Canada
Veteran goalkeeper Kasey Keller will make his 100th U.S. national team appearance tonight when the United States faces Canada in the Gold Cup semifinals at Soldier Field, sources close to the selection process said today. Keller was chosen over Tim Howard and will join Tony Meola as the only U.S. keeper to reach 100 caps. If the Americans advance to Sunday's final, Howard, who is atop the U.S. depth chart, seems sure to start, although a strong performance by Keller tonight could make Bob Bradley's decision more difficult.
No word on the remainder of the lineup. I will rejoin you from the ballpark later today.
