USA, Looking Ahead
We watched the Americans win all three first-round matches. We saw them score seven goals -- by six different players -- and allow none. We saw Bob Bradley use a variety of lineups and combinations in order to manage minutes and keep his players fresh for the elimination rounds. Next up: quarterfinal Saturday afternoon at Foxborough against Guadeloupe, Panama, Honduras or, gasp, Mexico.
The big question is: Based on what you saw the past week, who should be in Bradley's starting lineup? Keep in mind that the yet-to-be-determined opponent could dictate some decisions. How about Howard, Spector, Onyewu, Bocanegra, Simek, Mastroeni, Feilhaber, Beasley, Dempsey, Donovan and Ching?
