Football Weekend
Deadlines and commitments,
What to leave in, what to leave out
Sorry for my absence on Friday. I am in Chicago gathering information and conducting interviews with the U.S. women's national team in advance of the World Cup in China, which begins in four weeks. Plenty of good storylines to pursue leading up to the big tournament. The Americans will play their second-to-last tuneup match Sunday against New Zealand, then head back west for final preparations and a farewell match against Finland in two weeks at Home Depot Center.
Just wondering what interests you the most during this big weekend of Euro, Latin and U.S. action.
The Premiership kickoff? Man U-Reading Sunday?
Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Jupiler League, Scotland?
Argentina, Mexico, Brazil?
Beckham Part II at New England tomorrow?
USA women perhaps?
With D.C. United off, feel free to share your thoughts about anything else on Planet Football.
I might rejoin you from Soldier Field on Sunday and will definitely return to full blogging/reporting duties Monday.
Enjoy the weekend.....
Against the wind.....
